I have started a trading room but have no members in it!

I have been trading for 6 years and I make about $3000+ a month trading but it's not really enough to live on so I decided to start a trading room because:

1) I love talking about trading and teaching people to trade but my friends just want to relax at the beach!

2) I am only trading with $10,000 which is not enough to make the kind of money I want to make

I have written 8 books one on trading specifically and I have a website dedicated to this Elizathetradercom and I am offering 3 things

1) One on one coaching for 2 hours for 200 pounds
2) All 8 books for 100 pounds-could also add a free seminar in with this package
3) 3 months of access to my live trading room for 1000 pounds

I was going to offer a free trial or a shorter period but I quickly realized that you cannot succeed that way people are not in it for the long haul unless you make it hard for them to use you for a week and then try someone elses system, because no system is perfect so it's better that they have 3 months because it takes a while to learn how to trade properly, for most people.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated I was thinking of hiring a telemarketer

    So...

    Who is your target market?

    Where can you find them?

How can you entice them to come over from the platform they are currently on (trading forum, Facebook, etc.) to yours?

You have two problems, and in this order:

    Traffic

    and

    Conversion.

First you need to solve the Traffic problem. Where are they? How do you get them to come to you?

Then you have the Conversion problem. How do you turn them into paying customers...and keep them?

I've worked in the stock trading field for many years and you really have to have something that lets you Stand Out. There are at least a couple different types of traders (the Dreamers and the Serious--the Serious still have their "hit the lottery" dreams but are engineers, techies, and the like) and you should pick one or the other to try and Stand Out to.

Paid traffic is not a good idea for you right now. I would concentrate on using one of the books to get opt-ins and continue to market to leads that way.

Thank you for your advice I really appreciate it, where do you think I should get these opt ins from? I have a free e book that is available when people opt in but I can't think of where I should be placing the link to my site to get them to opt in in the first place? I have been out of online marketing ever since I started trading and can't remember what I was doing to market online before

Probably the wrong forum for this, but it's an area I was was involved with and fully understand the trading world.

First thing you should know is, if you're genuinely making over $3000 per month then, you're ahead of 90% of independent traders out there, so you're doing something right.

Why can't you leverage a bit of the money your making and place it in positions which have been giving you the best returns?

Can you cut down on your living expenses, as $3000+ is a fair amount of money and whilst I don't know your own expenses, there's usually ways in which you can reduce your weekly/monthly outgoings.

Options.. Increase income or reduce outgoings. Do both and you're

    Hello,

While I can't help you with trading or best methods to reach your audience, I did take a look at your site and there are few suggestions that can help you in a long run.

    1. You're using a default custom theme with no modifications, but your spacings, colors, homepage all are the place. I really would recommend hiring a designer to help you with this or doing it yourself - I'm not talking about big changes, but a few CSS tweaks here and there will help your site look more polished and professional. Some of your labels also need changing - you don't have a cart but you can "add to cart" on your site.

    2. Getting an SSL certificate and accepting payments directly on your site might also be something to consider, as well as adding more payment methods - you're using pounds in your first post, if your potential customers are mostly based in UK, they may be using other internet wallets than PayPal. Just consider potential limitations considering your industry, I don't know how far away stock trading is from gambling, but gambling sites or related to gambling have limited options here.

    3. Sales Pages - You have none, besides the "our promise" text on your Services page and a fairly decent introduction in About page, but these two alone wouldn't convince me to order your services.

    4. About Page - It's completely subjective but I personally hate bios written in third-person, it makes me feel detached from the person I'd (in your case) consulting with and taking advice about trading. You want to grow closer to your visitors, not more apart.

    5. No testimonials - Keep in mind that your business is hugely based on trust and that there already are many sharks in this industry. If your coaching/consultations have been successful (you said you have 6 years experience in that area), try asking them for a testimonial that you could put on your website, this would help your conversion rate a lot. Success stories would work even better.

    6. It feels like there is a disparity of who you're trying to reach, narrow it down to either beginners or professionals who need more training, at least let one of those be your main focus.

It just feels like you're rushing to converting visitors while the website isn't even close to finished, I don't want to be too critical since I have a feeling you'd be fixing some of these anyway, but my advice is - don't go rushing for traffic before you polish your site and content, because at this moment, they're very unlikely to convert.
