Help for new Blogger! :)

Hi,

So I made my first Blog and blog post yesterday and shared it among my friends and social media. I also looked into affiliate marketing and Google Ads but I was not eligible for google ads so I signed up for Amazon Associates and put a gift promotional banner on my blog.

I have received around 130 views for first day and I was wondering how can I drive traffic to my blog, different strategies, what other ways I can put in place to have a successful blog, how many posts should I publish per month and so on. I am a newbie so counting on your professional and skilled experience.

Any idea, suggestion or recommendation will be appreciated. Thankyou

This is my travel blog - nerd-travel.blogspot.com

Kind Regards,

Consider adding a little form on your Blog and ask your Visitors something like: "What information would you like me to provide you that will definitely help you?"

Then consider their responses when writing your Posts.

    P.S. Welcome to The Forum.

I don't have a Blog. (Just a couple of Websites I'm working on.) Thanks for the interest though.

To increase your blog's SEO rankings focus on using only 1 long tail keyword regarding your industry and what people are searching for.

Also to be successful at blogging, publish a blog every day of the week, you may want to write 7 blogs on the weekends and then release one per day if you are working during the week.

As you share your posts on a daily basis on social media if they are interesting people look forward to seeing your blog posts and after a while they will bookmark you blog URL and go to it directly.

Great idea to start tracking your blog ranking on Alexa at least every 2 weeks.

With Alexa you will be able to see the world wide and US ranking of your blog one the web as you increase your readership.

This will take dedication and hard work but once your readers know, like, and trust you, you can monetize your blog with different offers available in your niche.

The most important thing the more passionate you are about the subject matters you write about the more interesting they will be and the more interest you will have from your audience to continue to read your content.

Get off of "blogspot.com". All a competitor has to do is report you, and you're in jeopardy of having everything you created, DESTROYED. Migrate to Wordpress. And blogspot.com's view counter is wrong all the time.

    .
That is not 100% true, a former member on this fourm has an excellent blog. During 2017 his posts stopped for awhile. In 2018 he is back at it and it is a going strong.
Another blog comes out 1once a month. Becareful you may overwhelm the OP.

Randall suggested Word Press, go with WordPress.org if you can afford hosting and a domain. You can control your blog much better there. If you have a tight budget use a free theme.

Thankyou, this is my first blog so I will take my chances with Blogger and also I don't want to pay at least when I haven't earned anything lol Once I have decent traffic, I will look to move to more secure tools.

    Kind Regards,
If you've received over 100 views for your first day then, that's great a more than
most folk would experience as a newbie.

I would spend less time thinking about monetisation and concentrate on the blog
content and building an audience who come back for more. Once you have the content in place and a larger audience start thinking about £ signs by way of affiliation, but be discreet about it and don't come across as a spammer.

Why should anyone visit your blog? What does it have to offer that can't be found anywhere else? Is the content unique and valuable, or is it simply pulled from another web site? Is the content focused and detailed, or is it general and broad such that it can be found easily online?

What audience are you attempting to serve? Have you done market research so you know what this particular audience wants and what they will purchase?

I have found that by asking these pointed questions (and others of course) I begin to understand my mission and purpose with the blog. If you can't answer such questions, take a step back and rethink what you're trying to do. Without this focus, others are going to prefer to go to the already established sites that understand and execute their mission.

    Good luck,

    Steve

    Kind Regards,
First, I'd like to congratulate for making the wise decision to start your own blog!

It will change your entire life.

Now, you need to invest in your education here and learn the right way of blogging for profits.

Every single detail matters when it comes to blogging. From the way your blog looks like to the marketing plan you follow.

One of the most important aspects is blog conversions. You have to make sure your blog conversions are high. Otherwise, no matter how much traffic you drive to the blog it will not perform well.

Also, understand that making money through blogging takes a lot of time and effort. The amount of time it takes will depend on many variables. The more work you put in with the right actions the faster you can make it happen. That's the truth.

I'd like to share a valuable piece of content with you that will help you build a successful blog; https://internetmarketingblog101.com...cret-revealed/

You will have to network with other bloggers in your niche. This is one of the most important parts of building a successful blog. You have to get involved in the blogging community and work together. You can't do it alone.

Hi, I am a blogger and blog builder as well I will give my opinion and I will make it short.
First, the good thing that you are ready and excited to post to your blog.
My advice is to update your blog many times a week not less than 3 times and the better is post 5 times or daily if you can.

Make your posting time is the same time, for example if you post on Wed and Mon and Friday, always post on these days and in same time, and to make this use scheduled posts to publish in same time every 2 days or so.

You can also do the homework at end of the week, I mean you create 3 or 4 posts and scheduled them to be posted on exact time.

Try to do simple SEO to your posts, like...
Use keyword on title, body of post and end of post.
Always include nice images related to the post topic and embed videos as well.

Be strategic about your content, try to write only about something you know, [content is king]
The most successful content is the kind that meets a specific need.
    Be cool and funny
Try to make sure that most of your content is evergreen.
use social media to promote your blog, and don't just share the posts link on your wall or page, try to as a pro writer, when you post new content to your blog, go social and ask your friends about your post or tell your opinion about your post, or tell them why you write about this topic today.
    BE SOCIAL
Link other related posts to new post.
Always use long-tail-keywords [Google about this]
If you use WordPress there are some good plugins for bloggers
    Wordpress SEO by Yoast
    All in One SEO Pack
Optimize your blog for speed and for Mobile browsing.
Comment on other related blogs and be nice not spammer.

Provide value on your blog and also when commenting on other's blogs.
    [Quality not quantity]
Tweaking your site just a little can make huge differences to your traffic over time.
Create RSS feed for your blog, it is easy, use feed Burner to syndicate your content into rss feed.
This extremely popular site has the power to send a huge amount of traffic to your site, should it be chosen as the Cool Site of the Day. They accept submissions, so if you have a unique site it's worth the time to submit. If you are accepted you will see thousands of new visitors in a matter of hours.

I found an easy method to write unique and good content to your blog if you are out of ideas, search on youtube for most recent and most viewed videos about your blog niche, watch the video and write it into article after you add your touch, then customize it with images and formatting, then post it and share it on social media.
Use the Guest Post Strategy to Borrow Traffic from Bigger Websites.

There is a ton of methods to drive traffic to your blog, but it all depend on how good and how cool your content is, so be unique, social, funny, friendly and provide value, then every method on the glob will work for you
