Seo and Coupons

Hello everyone,

i have a question about coupons and how to submit them to coupon websites.

if you go to google and serach "coinmerc.com" you'll see they have 31,500 results. when you look at the results you'll most of their backlinks come from coupon websites.

my question is how do i make this happen for my site? i sell product and could make coupons for those products.

any help on how i would make the coupons and how i would submit them to coupon sites would be greatly appreciated.

also, is this good or bad for seo?

    Coupon offers work best when you are the only one offering a coupon for a particular product.

    If you are pitted up against others who have a coupon for the same product it can get a little tricky.

    Some of these sites have a little feedback area where people can come in and say "this coupon works great" or "this coupon is expired, and here is a similar product for less"

    I've had competing affiliates on a product try to rank my coupon down - when there was nothing wrong with it.

    If you do some searches like "free coupon submission" etc you can get a list of sites. Some of these are as easy as signing up, selecting a category, and submitting your coupon.

    The coupons are code related. Some you can get directly from who ever you are affiliating for - which means the buyer needs to be pulled back to the site where they can make the purchase. Generally the coupon itself can be used as a tracking code from the retailer to know which affiliate gets the commission.

    As far as SEO is concerned, if it is providing some backlinks that is typically a good thing.

    But, to get the most out of having a coupon to offer you can do this. Post a page on your website with an autoresponder which offers to give the coupon for sign up. This way you get names in the process. Coupons can be just as valid and desirable as a free ebook or report.

    Some scripts (like membership scripts) come with the automatic ability to create a coupon for a specific product. Unless you are going to manually process the orders yourself, this is probably the route you will want to go.

    I don't know if there is a stand alone script for coupons that can be integrated with any type of site.
