Blog For Marketing a small Business

Simply starting a small business blog does not guarantee success. Do you know how to create a blog for marketing a small business?

Hey man ! A blog would be great, but right now, the hot stuff is social media. People are much more on social media than on blogs :/

So, I'd rather start social media for that small business before going for a blog which is harder to create.

Now, if you're selling products, obviously, you need a website to have somewhat some authority.

But, you'll get your traffic mainly from social media. Faster, easier than with SEO

Creating the blog is easy. Just get some webhosting and a Wordpress blog installation. They have many "themes" or blog designs (and features) to offer. When it comes to marketing your blog, there are a ton of things that you can do. But make sure it's within a niche that has a void that is longing to be filled. Here's a great post of how to market your blog and your posts when you create them:

    Incredibly vague, but here goes.

First, get the blog set up on their website.

Second, hire a writer to post to the blog 2-4 times per week (probably 300 to 1,000 words per post, depending on the industry and the topic).

Third, link to main service/product pages within the blog posts to drive traffic to those pages when it's natural.

Fourth, promote the blog posts with a solid social media strategy and to your email list, if you have one.

Finally, keep at it as consistency is the key here.

I hope you can be more specific But getting some good keyword research tool to optimize your page and your blog posts would be great. You can't go wrong with Facebook ads, too, when marketing your products -Micah

    Yes!

But, you have to know what you are doing in order to get the results you are looking for with the blog.

You can't just build a blog and expect things to work for you if you don't actually work at it.

There are 3 main keys to successful blogging.

Blog design. Blog conversions. And blog traffic.

Focus on learning more about these three keys and you will be able to get the results you are looking for

Would suggest you to start the blog and look out for some good keywords to rank on.
Note: go for long tail keywords which has low competition and try to create backlinks for that. It would help in ranking your blog on Google and yahoo.
However, also try doing social media marketing

Are you knowledgeable with web page designing? If not, you can start with that and hire someone to design your blog for you. Start looking for your competitors and see what they're doing with their blogs. -Micah
