How To Advertise To The Gaming Community

I have a product that I have created and it has proven to sell fairly well. It is a $9.95 report and converts at about 2% - 3%. I have marketed the book via Yahoo answers and YouTube in the past but things are loosing steam and I would like to try something new.

My only problem is this. Most of the sites I have asked to advertise for me make money from game creators and the odds are they might not like to so much. So unfortunately they keep turning me down in fear of losing their main revenue.

So does anybody have a good idea on how to advertise to the video game industry that does not cost an arm and a leg? I am willing to do some work if needed.

Thanks

Why would the game creators not like the report?

Because it has to do with making backups of console games. The report is made for use with good intentions. However it could also be used for bad ones.

I think they may in fact be fearful of a lawsuit on their hands... I've approached gaming forums before and didn't have a problem with most of them because I made the offer irresistible to the forum owner.

    1. I paid for the ad in full on the spot

    2. I also gave the forum owner 75% commissions

Before you think that's ludicrous you need to realize that you have the entire back end to profit from not to mention you are building a decent sized list of buyers too...

Tell me you have a backend..?

If you don't have at least 5 viable product ideas you can create and sell on the backend for this market, all ranging in price, then is it really worth your time to pursue this market?

I'm not saying you need to have all the backend products created just yet but you definitely need to have the ideas in your plan.

That would be one offer the forum owner would have to be an idiot to pass up. As it stands I have a list of just over 1000 buyers and I promote a clickbank product on the back end. However I can see that I should have quite a bit more. I have plans for a membership site that should go over well with this crowd.

Thanks for the tips I will be sure to better check over what I am doing.
