Top 5 Easiest Ways To Attract More Readers To Your Blog For FREE In 2018

There are literally hundreds of ways to get to attract more readers to your blog. But there is only few traffic generating methods that get more eyeballs on your content on a consistent basis.

Not everybody wants to spend a lot of time creating great content and spend even more time building backlinks and sharing it on as many social media platforms as possible.

If you're a regular blogger, then that could take up a lot of your time, especially if you work a 9-5 job.

When I first started building my blog in 2014, I didn't know much about traffic generation. All I knew was I was passionate about natural bodybuilding and that by having a blog to write about the subject would eventually attract a lot of visitors.

I know a lot of people make the mistake of getting into blogging just to earn money and that's fine. But how many bloggers will get into a niche they are passionate about?

Those who do start a blog in a niche they know that will help people are the ones that do very well, especially if they stick to it for the long term.

Any successful niche blog is from people who live and breath what they do. Their work is who they are and there is no separating the two.

I am passionate about health, drug-free bodybuilding and I like to write about that on my blog. I've been involved in weight training since 2004 and love going to the gym. I simply can't live without it. I try to workout at least 4 days a week and I find it very beneficial.

Really there's no better therapy than a good workout! Exercise put's me in a better mood, I feel stronger, muscular, healthier and always get a good nights rest. Mediation, yoga or taking regular visits to a psychotherapist doesn't even come close to the amazing benefits of regular exercise.

So back to my point...

No matter what niche you are in, you can do very well if you blog about your passion. If you do this often, Google will eventually find your blog and rank your posts high in the search results.

I barely spend any time doing SEO for my blog and yet I can still get quite a lot of visitors just by posting topics that people are interested in and solves their problems.

Here are my top 5 tips to get readers to your blog for FREE:

Tip #1 - Write content that solves a problem that people have

It always helps to write if you already have an interest in the topic yourself. This helps will make you're content unique compared to a lot of your competitors.

If you're stuck for ideas to write about, here' s a few little tricks that I use when I can't think of anything good to write about. Go to a site called Buzzsumo and enter a keyword related to your niche.

For example, for in my niche, I might type the word "get ripped naturally " For free accounts, I think it shows the first 10 results sorted by their popularity. If you register for a free account it will show a lot more results.

But this is good enough for me to get some ideas to write about. You could also enter your competitor's website URL to see their most popular posts that get the most amount of views and social shares.

Another site I like to use for content Ideas is a site called "Answer the public". answerthepublic.com. You simply enter your keyword into the search bar and it will show you a wheel of questions that people ask online. Definitely worth checking out.

So there are just a few ways to get content ideas. Once you write content for people instead of for the search results, it will be much easier to rank without sharing or building backlinks, just as long as you make a habit of producing content on a regular basis.

Tip #2 - Share Your content on Pinterest.

At least 40% of my traffic comes from Pinterest. Not every niche will benefit from sharing content on Pinterest. As you probably already know, there seem to be a lot more women using Pinterest, compared to men.

Pinterest is very Popular for niches like health and fitness, interior design, art, and internet marketing.

So if you're in the internet marketing niche and you got a blog, then I highly suggest creating a nice infographic related to your blog post and share it on Pinterest. If you're not good with photoshop I recommend using Canva.

It's really good for creating amazing designs and infographics, so you don't need to have good graphic design skills either. You don't even have to create an infographic to have your content shared on Pinterest.

You can even just create a small graphic around 400px X 700px with a picture and title of the article, then just pin it to your board with a link back to your website. This definitely works well for me!

Tip #3 - Share Your Latest Blog Posts To Your Email List

Not so long ago I had a tough time knowing what kind of information to send to my subscribers. Increasing the number of subscribers wasn't the main problem for me, it was trying to string a few sentences together. I don't know why I find it easier to write a blog post but I always struggle to write emails.

Makes no sense! But like anything, with a bit of practice, you will know what to send your subscribers. What I love about email marketing is you can easily promote your blog content to your email list.

I learned this tip from my good friend Freddy who runs an internet marketing blog dedicated to blogging. So any blog post your produce you can just inform your email subscribers about it and they will read your content.

You don't have to worry about building backlinks, many of your subscribers will even share your content for you. How great is that?!

Tip #4 - Stumble Upon

If you got great content that you want a lot of people to read right away, then you should share it on Stumbleupon. I've gotten a lot of free traffic from Stumbleup over the years.

All you do is create an account and choose the topics that you are interested in. Stumbleupon shows you different websites or videos based on the interest that you choose.

So as you can imagine, when people search for a particular topic on Stumbleupon. So the more likes your page or video gets the more Stumbleupon will show to other people and the more traffic you get.

If you not already on Stumbleup, I recommend you use it to interact with other peoples content, follow them and even share your own content.

Tip #5 - Question and Answer Sites Like Quora and Yahoo Answers

If you don't already know quora is a site where you answer peoples questions. To get the most amount of traffic from Quora, do a search for related topics in your niche that you are an expert on or want to contribute to. That might be "Internet Marketing".

Once you choose the category Quota will give you a list of the most popular frequently asked questions that people ask.

One of the easiest ways to find a popular question is to look for one that gets the most views.

Choose a question that gets the most views but very few answers and then leave a comment on it.

But before leaving a comment make sure to have a link to your website in the bio section of your Quora account.

So when people click on your profile link they will be able to visit your website or product page. Also, after you answer a question, you can leave a relevant link back to your site.

There is a right and a wrong way to do this, so I suggest doing a quick search to see how other people are linking to their content after answering questions.

What I like to do is answer the question as best I can and if they question is related to something I wrote about before, I will drop a link to it with my answer. You can also do this with yahoo answers as well but be careful how you place your links there because they can get removed.

Thank you for reading this thread and I hope you learned a thing or two. These are some of my best ways to get more eye balls on your content.

If you have any more tips to add to this for getting more people to read, like, share and comment on your blog content, I'd love to hear them!

All the best,

Jay

A great share. I have to say, tip #3 is the one that stands out the most. Why? Because it's probably one of the better ways to get instant eyeballs reading our stuff, making a good impression, and ultimately making more sales.

    Nice tips Justin.

Looking for ideas for blog posts is something I need to spend more time on. I have ideas on what I want to write about. But putting that into good blog post format can be a challenge.

So, the question asking sites are good for discovering what people are asking about. Sites like Buzzsumo are good for finding the "style" of content that is popular... the way the information is framed.

I'd add YouTube as a source of ideas, too. Just look at which videos have the most views and likes in your niche.

Your right man, it can be challenging, but as soon as you start writing you find yourself getting into the flow of things and eventually the blog post starts coming together.

I also agree Youtube is a great source of free traffic. I don't use it though...I gotta get myself a good camera...or am I using that as an excuse not to make videos...maybe! Okay, I'll admit, I'm not a fan of being in front of cameras.

Although, there are a lot of bloggers who do pretty well without making youtube videos. Anyone care to mention a few names of those who make a good living from their blogs without making videos?

You said "easiest" but you didn't mention advertising.

Running ads is "easier" than any of the things you listed.
Yes but running ads cost money...this thread is about getting more people to read your blog using FREE traffic methods.

    Excellent tips Jay.

I have also found blog commenting to work very well, especially in the natural/alternative dieting niche.

Pinterest is one of the best traffic sources, if you have good images and you know how to share them correctly. I also love Twitter because I can get so much out of one blog posts. Because of the nature of Twitter, you can share the same post literally 100s of times over the course of months and get new visitors each time.

Yeah, Jay, excellent pointers, nevertheless, pointer number two isn't apparent. What do you mean by sharing my blog content on Pinterest with infographics related to the blog? In other words, what's the procedure to set that up? thx

And by the way, I recently answered a question on Quora about weight lifting, and I got an impressive readership over 5 k views. You can see it here. https://www.quora.com/profile/Carlos-Figueira-7
