What color for your sales page? Anyone tested before?

What color do you choose for your sale page?

I'm checking out a few colours for my sales page and just wondering if anybody had done testing on this before and found good color combinations?

I'm thinking of contrasting with a totally black backdrop (like how warriorforum has greys at both sides) to the middle portion being totally white.

Anyone done testing on the colors of the sales page before?

I've read Blue and Gray are the 2 best colors to work with. I'll see if I can dig up the article on it

I have read that dark text on a light background builds a more trusting relationship with the reader. Light text on a dark background and readers are more often wary of trusting the site.

I have not tested this for my website, but I currently use similar to WF, gray and white, with dark text. Run a split test and see what is best for you.

I tested a couple of years back and found that a white main body with a darker background was more successful, which is why my site is that style. Have a test now, you may get different results.
