Do you respond to emails, or return phone calls?

Boy, do I need to unload...

I don't know if its the stress of a bad economy, or what's going on, but getting somebody to respond to an email (not mass mail) or return a phone call these days is unbelievable.

Last week Thursday I must have made about 10 calls to different firms or consultants that I was interested in hiring, or working with in some capacity. Out of those ten messages I left (they didn't answer right away obviously) I've gotten 0 (as in zero) return calls. AND I WANTED to hire them!!!!

It's almost become a default practice, that if I don't return your call, then it is the equivalent of saying, "I'm not interested in whatever it is that you wanted."

Don't even bother wasting the time to send an email inquiry....

My gosh, does it take a genius - when the economy is bad, and you're struggling for cash flow - ANSWER THE BLEEPING PHONE!!!! RESPOND TO THAT EMAIL INQUIRY!!!! People can't do business with you until you do!!!!

GRRRR!!!

This is ONE of my pet peeves too Tom! If I can take the time to call or write en email then the person I trying to get a hold of should have the courtesy to respond back even if it is to tell me to shove it!

I have a rule for this type of behavior. After the third call, or email, they go out of my contact list and that includes people I've known forever!

If it is someone that has been a friend for a long period of time I will contact others that I, and they, know to make sure they are alright.

    Otherwise, adiós!

I called a plumber 3 days ago to give THEM some business and they still haven't returned my call. Tomorrow I get another one, there MUST be someone out there that still wants to earn a few bucks!

Apparently I'm not the only cranky old fart on WF.

I'm about to remove a family member or two from my contacts for the same reasons.

A couple or three of my WF pals are among the busiest marketers on this board.

Almost without fail they return emails, PM's and Skype messages as soon as they can. They also have this really weird habit of returning phone calls.

Do you suppose their attention to detail, and to some degree, social nicety may have a positive affect on their success?
