You rarely get any traffic for classified ads. Depends which site you use.

Sounds like a very tough slog. You need to give your business model a bit more in-depth, critical thinking. Thinking outside the box can be good, but you should always use the box as your point of reference.

Which ones? Where will your ads run?

Depending on your answer, your chances are slim to none. It sounds possible in some alternative reality, although, if you spend enough money and put the classifeds in the very few places where people read and react to them, you still have a lot of expense with the phone number, all that email, a

    VERY SLOPPY idea.

Try to come up with something else, you'll get stuck in the mud with this one, spinning your wheels.

classified sites are not a good place to promote affiliate products. It will not work for you. You can use PPC programs like Bing ads to promote affiliate offers.

    Quick question...

Where are you going to put that email list, send bulk email from, and even refer people from that automated message?

How are you going to put your affiliate links in front of prospects?

    Add these questions to Gordon's.

Trying to pull $1200-$2000 per month without having some kind of base of operations is really taking the hard way.

  • I think in general, you need to have a blog, or even better, use some sort of social media to develop a following and promote affiliate offers. Of course you are looking to convert these followers to getting on your email list.

Otherwise paid ads is your next best bet. I would focus more on Facebook and YouTube ads.

Unless you have a large budget for running ads to drive traffic to your products, you will need to utilize some sort of platform to generate that type of income.

Well Im thinking physical products like Amazon or ebay affiliate products using CL and maybe backpage to name the 2 top ones I know of I have no money to spend on advertising so Im trying to do this with only a time investment and I will have a landing page and eventually a website but Im trying to figure out a way to do this starting with zero dollars to invest. I was thinking facebook CL ads as well but youtube isnt something I've had any success with and I figure a free wix website might work for now but Im just trying to drive traffic on basically no budget for ads and such. So I guess send them to my page and put the affiliate link there and build the email list from there also seems as though not having a blog or website is not an option but until I had money for paid ads I figure I could drive some sales that way perhaps

Classified ads does not work so well as it used to be in the past. You would work if you can post hundreds of ads/day on Craigslist (for example) as it's the most active classified ads site currently. But it seems to be impossible. And if it's possible, it would be costly and time-consuming.

Absolutely not...it doesn't work and all those who claim they are making lots of money are probably lying to you.

Then with a zero dollar budget what's a good way to draw prospects to my page?

So what I am seeing is Classifieds are dead though I have to ask if this "Using CL ads posted to sell products at a higher price than amazon drive them to email me then push them to my page, where they not only see a full list of products Im pushing but also can opt in to my email list, also using CL facebook groups and any other FREE classifieds sites I can find to build up the income to start using paids ads through wherever I would also use apps that allow you to sell products locally and not locally to also push these products again using a higher price and sending them to my site where there is a lower price and the email list" this is the rough idea while I find more effective ways to advertise my site for free until I build the traffic and income to use paid ads. Does this not sound viable at all? I also know CL has a limit on post which makes it harder to post many times but also makes it harder to get spammed out of view giving me a better chance to get seen on the site

      Moe, what do you want?

What are you trying to do? This is really a convoluted screwed up line of thinking IF your intent is to make money with IM. So many better ways without all the SLOP and MESS of this idea.

Why are you hung up on free classified ads? And the email idea won't work because you don't know what you are doing.

Maybe we can help you come up with a better PLAN? But right now, you're stuck in quicksand and sinking deeper.

The main problem is that: you want to dive into email marketing but you have no idea of how to build a list and sell affiliate offers.

    You need a PLAN.

Classified Ads do not work for affiliate UNLESS you promote job affiliate sites, like survey etc, but they are totally a scam and sooner or later you will be known a scammer too.

So maybe you can try building a list around cars, using classified ads as a source of traffic: i mean selling a service in clickbank that evaluate the car for people interested in selling the car.

But i strongly advice you to get a mentor o to use at least a course for email marketing. It's a business, not a joke,

    Step 1
Sign up with ClickBank. Get a hoplink

    Step 2
    Go to Fiverr.com
Find someone ( top seller or level 2 seller ONLY ) to drive traffic to this link.
( info products / digital products tend to sell well in the US, UK, Canada, Australia)
Get this TRAFFIC GUY to drive the traffic from those countries only.
    Do price shopping.

    Step 3
If you throw in $70 and you get back $80, you're making a profit.
If you throw in $70 and you get back $60, you're making a loss.
    Simple math.

    Step 4
    Repeat process

I also tried to post on classified ads posting site but I show it's all paid to post.
That's why I don't use this step to bring traffic.

Classified Ad sites really can work quite well. But, you're wasting your time by posting your classified ads directly on these type of sites.

Know who you are marketing to. Generally, these sites are visited almost exclusively by other advertisers who have posted ads.

Savvy marketers often buy display ads on the top and/or sides of each classified category page of relevant niches. And yes, Clickbank promoters actually do very well with this strategy.

Another effective option is to market directly to the other classified advertisers in your niche. However, this method requires careful and discrete approaches to avoid spam accusations and/or affiliate TOS violations.

Consider also advertising in the classified section of online/offline publications which are read by your targeted audience. This requires a substantial budget upfront, but the initial ROI is fairly good with effective copy.

    Hi Moe,

A lot of resistance here for you buddy.

Few people scanning classifieds are looking for what you have to offer. I also see a few too many steps with your approach. Certainly you can have some success with it but I'd buy your domain and hosting now, to begin blogging, to create something lasting, something long term.

If you create helpful content and build strong bonds over years, the affiliate sales flow to you. Again; good things take time, but the energy spent building a trusted WP dot org blog over years pays immense long term returns in both traffic and affiliate sales.

I strongly suggest you stick to PPC ads.

Send them to an opt-in page, build relationships with your prospect and then start recommending affiliate offers to them.

I would try a different traffic source. Classified ads and affiliate products generally do not mix well.

I place classified ads for my products and a few affiliate products online and have some success with it, I use a few posting services on fiverr.com to post my ads and i also post free ads in Facebook groups and another place you can join and post free ads is on IBOToolBox.com, there are many free places you can post classified ads online, but it's a numbers game, the more ads you post the more traffic and sales you can get.

    I hope this helps!
