Funnel Madness! Is it worth it? Where to begin...
Firstly, thanks to all who contributed in the last thread I posted up. I've had some valuable insights from some of the veterans. It can be overwhelming in the beginning when you're soaking everything up like a sponge. There comes a time when we need to purposely put a halt to the information overload feasting and apply all of the principles into actionable items. Sure, learn as you go, but not at the expense of losing momentum!
A brief background about where i'm at before I propose my question(s):
I'm in the fitness/bodybuilding market, with a specific niche in mind. I have yet to build a working automated email system/funnel for my products, too. I've had some instagram videos hike up to 27k views, from a 15 second video of one of my workouts! Insane. My IG engagement is very high for being sub 20k followers. Each direct message that is sent can be seen as a potential email, too! Win-win. I have 2 e-guides, one being the lead magnet. My core offer/backend sale are 2 variations of 1-on-1 coaching/consultation, which is significantly more $ than the one eguide I plan on monetizing passively(?) through content-rich landing pages.
My question to you funnel sensei's is:
Where should I place my marketing funnel links? Should I funnel every product I have that leads to my core offer being 1-on-1 coaching?
I guess to answer the question above, I would need to answer what I want out of all of this. ---> I plan on monetizing that one eguide I have with the ultimate intention to draw clients into my 1-on-1 coaching or consultation.
Example proposition for youtube:
I'll have a youtube video up, and in the content description area i'd ideally have a link that takes the viewer to my blog lp, instagram and to a funnel lp with the promise of the lead magnet (free eguide) on the other end.
Should I give them what I had initially promised, a free eguide with of course an email opt-in? Or should I use this opportunity to offer them the other guide too? Does this come off as scammy and "he pulled a fast one on me and is now trying to sell me"?
Do I even need a click funnel? Can't I just provide a direct link to my lp with said service on the description section of the video?:
product x --->direct link to lp on my domain
service y --->direct link to lp on my domain
service z --->direct link to lp on my domain
I feel like consolidating all these product/service offers into a funnel might annoy people, especially if all they want is a free eguide.
If its not scammy, then:
(tripwire funnel)
link in youtube description--->email op-tin--->thank you, but do you want this guide for xyz $?--->if no, then how about 1-on-1 consultation? if no---> thanks heres your free guide.
Does this sound feasible? Or does it look bad already asking for a sale right off the bat from youtube video to funnel lp? scammy and salesy? The only reason I'm asking if its scammy is because i'm developing a brand.
Should I just focus on collecting the email with a basic email opt-in funnel and no upsales? Would I risk a significant portion of income?
link in youtube description--->email opt-in--->thanks! heres your guide!
Should I apply these funnel tactics for each product on my domain site, for upsells?
I'm playing around with the clickfunnels app for free for the next 14 days. One thing I know for sure is that i'll most likely create some funnels for the guide I plan on monetizing which will lead to the 1-on-1 services...eventually.
Later I can begin to focus on webinar marketing to get them to opt-in for that 1-on-1...
Also note; both of my guides have an up-sell at the end, letting them know that i'd like to coach them 1-on-1 and the landing page is xyz.
So many questions, thanks for reading along and quite possibly offering some insights on this venture. Got any fitness questions? Ask away and message me...since thats the only thing I can offer back at the moment lol :]
