How to manage Negative Reviews online?

People started facing umpteen issues through fake reviews done by anonymous, and roaming to find the solutions for eradicating their negative reviews.

And people forget an important thing, "NOTIFICATION OF NEW REVIEWS"
since online review platforms has been drastically increased, people find difficult to address the reviews in multiple platforms at a single stretch.

Is there any tool available to monitor/manage and even get notifications for online in a single platform?

Google Alerts for monitoring, unless you're extremely popular on the web.

Just Google "reputation management" and there will be thousands of alternatives.

This is a very solid response, romon132. Dealing with a negative review online follows the same rules as addressing a negative response when working with somebody face to face.

Above all, make the person writing the review feel like you actually care to solve his/her issue. Bend the rules a little bit if it's not a huge loss. Avoid sending generic responses and personalize.

You really need to figure out where is that negative feedback coming from. Once you pinpoint that, it'll be much easier to decide whether this is the problem with a product, service, etc.

It was even more solid as part of an article on Entrepreneur.com, where he stole it.

As per the reviews expressions, response to that negative review and solve their problem as soon as possible. And give them assured that it will not happen again.

  • 1. You either can pay some one to get more positive reviews for you that would ruin the negative ones or you would do it yourself.

    2. Only market good products and or services and people will be happy or at least you will get less bad reviews.

You can "bury" these sites that have the negative reviews - with fresh new information and content that rank higher and higher, and pages that glorify your services. But at the end of the day... the indexed negative review pages will still exist, but will be on later and latter pages of the search engines.

You might want to check out https://visualping.io/

I use it to track changes to things like editorial guidelines and TOS. Should work for new reviews.

What I have always tried to do is sink it with positive reviews. That is the best thing you can do handle negative reviews. It is not easy, but, if done correctly, there is no need to worry about negative publicity

You can use a review service that monitors your reviews for you.

There are tons reputation management software-s out there.

I'd suggest replying to the review so that at least it appears that your brand is making an effort to reach out and deal directly with the person making the negative review.

Other than that, just use review management software as many others have suggested to bury the negative review as best as possible.

You can also just pickup the phone or email your better customers and ask them to leave a review.

Google Alerts is one of the most effective tools for online reputation management and most importantly, is free. Other than Google Alerts, I would recommend Brandseye and Rankur. These are paid tools you can get it by spending $220 per month & $14 per month respectively.

Negative review will come and you need to deal with it...

I have some books at Amazon and negative reviews are common. Whenever I get a negative review, I address the matter by editing the manuscript, if required, and add a note in the description of the book saying something like-

"The book has been modified and updated in response to the review by #### "

Indeed, some reviews are useless.. may be by competitors.. but you need to deal with it, right?

My modus operandi is to strive to always put worth quality work and with that, ask my customers to share their experiences online via Facebook, Blog, Video Review, etc... and since I strive to go above and beyond when delivering, I never need to worry about a legit negative review harming my online reputation.

I let them go. I see a negative review of my eBooks as a projection of the reviewer that has 100% to do with them, their lack of clarity, and fear, and nothing to do with me. No big deal. I worry not about folk's projections or views of self, for how we see others is how we view ourselves.

That's the most hilarious self denial comment I've ever read.

Doesn't even consider maybe something could be tweaked to stop bad reviews.

  • Only thing you can do it push friends/family and past clients to give good reviews to try and balance out the odd bad ones.

Google alerts can help you with monitoring.
