    Hi,

It would make sense to first understand what's needed, what people are searching for.

Are they looking for cheap accommodations? Car rentals? Good food? Prostitutes?

Find a need to fill. Don't create a site just for the sake of it but find something with commercial value (as in others wanting to pay for it) and see if there are enough people to justify it.

Once this is done, see what you can sell as an affiliate.

Or you can simply look on Google Adwords for what kind of searches are made regarding your city and take it from there. I'd suggest you spend a bit more time at the drawing board before you go all in though.

    Best regards,
    Razvan

Very well said, how do I find what the needs are? Thanks!

      • You can start by doing some market research. Start a conversation with a few people. Open with "You know what would be nice here...?" Observe how they would finish your sentence. It's possible they're looking for :
        - a good place to eat, coz hospital food sucks
        - a place to sleep or rest
        - a store to buy items they forgot to bring
        - another pharmacy

Talking the time to ask about their needs would give you a ton of ideas.

I have found out that even small villages have a Facebook group where people talk about the local things.

For example, most of my friends are from a nearby city of about 6,000 inhabitants. The city has two Facebook groups, both of them have more than 1,000 members. People talk there not only about local events but also ask for recommendations - where to get some specific services, where to buy something...

So if you join such group, you will make very good idea what the people need.

If you are living in a town which there is a booming economy, the purchasing power will be high. You can earn a lot of money from affiliate marketing and dropshipping. About the niche, well, let find out something that related to health because you said there are many people come here because of the hospital, right?

    Hi VMustang,

You can do this by using Google KW Planner - https://adwords.google.com/home/tools/keyword-planner/. Using this you can find the searches that are usually conducted when it comes to your town.

A better approach is to simply use common sense. Ask people. See where the needs are. Why do people come to this hospital? What does a person needs before coming to this hospital? What after leaving? Are they coming alone or with family? What does the family need?

Put yourself into the skin of the prospect and see where there is a need that is not fulfilled.

    Best regards,
    Razvan

If 90% of the community is there because of the hospital, then you could say that there are a lot of sick people in the area. Research on the health industry. Find out what is the likelihood of people trying out other means of treatment.

    hello ,
first of all what you need to do will be to try to know what the people you are intending to promote to are looking at, and then i think you will have a better understanding on what to promote and put on your website.
One thing you will need more than everything will be to learn how to post only valuable and attractive posts on your page,so that you can attract and keep the people you are looking at exactly!

It can go both ways. Negative or positive. There's nothing wrong with testing your theory and seeing if it works. But like others have said, it's better to find a niche where the desire is great and the prospects are easy to find. Dont just create a website about a city that is up and coming. Look how broad your monetization ideas are.

Personally, I prefer a classified website. Mainly because the population is related to a single entity, they are not the old folks there. And, they might need, share a lot of things.

Is there a common niche for the community?

What does everyone share in common or needs?

If you see a need, and after checking up on it, and it is still there. Go ahead and make it, but don't just make it because you think it is needed, because that can be costly in time and money.
