Should I post the same content to WEB 2.0 PROPERTIES as I put on my website?

Sqidoo, Tumblr, blogger, Multiply etc.

I started posting long posts and even articles to these kind of places.

Is it ok to have the same content on my website?

Thanks

Yes. But it is probably best to change a little bit. Google doesn't like seeing the same content everywhere and will penalize you for it.

Use a rewriter. Or, if you want to put the same content, then I suggest you change the title and the first para of the article and put it.

It's best if you rewrite them alittle bit and make them at least 50% unique. Some will say 30% is enough and they have had success with it, but I like to do 50% to be safe. Change up the title as well.

Decide how many pages to build - so far for my experiment I have chosen to build 3 web 2.0 pages for each of my niche sites and I have simply built one page at each of the three sites that I have mentioned below but this is your call. You could create more pages on these web 2.0 sites than you have on your own site if you want to!

If it is your original content ....Google could care less.

If you are using web 2.0 to build back links to your site you will still need to remember that these sites may out rank your static site in the beginning .

The reason I change the content is not for dup content fears ... it is for the human that is clicking the links .

If your traffic is going to the web 2.0 sites first and they click the link to yours site , they will not want to read the exact or even almost exact thing again just to click on an affiliate link.

This is not theory or something that sounds like a good idea when dealing with duplicate content . It is something I prove several times every day .

      Thanks Brian, Kenneth and gskesanan!

If I have several niches, Would you recommend having multiple accounts at these different web 2.0 properties?

      Say 3 niches, then have 3 squiddos/hubpages..etc

Is that necessary? Or can I just have mixed content on them...

I would have different accounts. Just because if someone wants to see what other lenses or hubs you have created, and they see 3 in weight loss and 5 in internet marketing and then another 3 about acne, you are going to lose trust pretty quick. It will basically look like you are doing nothing but trying to make money.

Keep them seperate. That way if they look all they will see is other lenses or hubs about the same topic. This will brand you with someone who has at least a little authority in the particular topic you are writing about.

      Troy,

I dread the idea of having to spin each blog post everytime I want to submit it to Tumblr or other places.

What if they are article length, is that ok too?

      Thanks for your time...

Your not having to spin anything . Write one original article for your static site .

Write one article for web 2.0

Submit the same web 2.0 article to all the web 2.0 sites .All links point back to my static site . The sqid is the only one I have ever heard of having any problem whatsoever and I have only heard this . It has never been a problem for me .

Most of my articles range in the 300 word area . This makes no difference if it is going to my site ,Tumbler or EZA.

If you can't presell in 300 words without being obvious, you can't do it with 500 words .

The 300 word articles receive better ctr for me almost every time

Its just there because you get a backlink and possibility of incoming traffic from it. That said, there are more web 2.0 sites than you can imagine - blog, blogger.com, wix.com, basically any site that lets you create a free blog, wiki, website, etc. can count as user generated content (web 2.0).

    Thanks Traffic-Bug!

That makes sense... I'll keep the best content on my site and then submit shorter and lesser quality to those places.

      Ok, That's right jim,

Use the best content on your amin site, then use alternative content relative to your niche on Web 2.0 Sites,

Then bookmark your site and ping it often,
It will ensure your blog to be high ranking on SERP.,

      Goodluck,

I personally don't touch(spin) the content on my site.

I'll get another group of articles and spin and use those as my weapons to get links all over the net

        But thats just me

But then again, I have been accused of being dropped on my head before

I'll shoot you over a few videos I did on the subject

        I hope you like them
