Yes, I just figured THIS one out...
Researching niches, learning keyword variations, I realized something freaking annoying.
I understand how important QUALITY articles are when it comes to branding yourself as an authority, someone people can trust. As you already know, shorter keywords equal lower conversion then that of longer tail keywords. Yes, I just realized this now...obviously factor in BUYER INTENT when searching.
I was upset searching "best skateboards" only to find the first page littered with GARBAGE reviews on amazon products. These affiliates know NOTHING about skateboarding, and here they are ranking, probably getting tons of traffic and no sales.
This goes along with every other niche site out there, and maybe in some cases it can be profitable. Another important factor for ex. Being a skateboarder, NOBODY buys from amazon other than...you guessed it! BEGINNERS! Well, I sure hope that's the case but who knows.
My question now is, stay away from trying to rank for the best skateboards? Or, just focus on long-tailed variations "10 of the best skateboards to buy?" "Who sells the best blanks skateboards"? Of course, I don't want to just focus on selling, but tricks & tips ect...
ALSO, when It comes to affiliates, instead of promoting Amazon garbage, link up to actual companies in the industry. This would apply to every other niche too. Btw, most of their links are broken or products out of stock.
