What is the fastest way to make your first $100 online?

Speaking from experience... making your first $100 (or even $10) online is the most difficult goal to achieve for new online marketers. Many fail and give up without ever making a cent online. For me... getting that first sale and seeing $97 arrive in my account was definitely a breakthrough and a psychological turning point. The strange thing is... the model I used to make it never really worked again for me. But the momentum it gave me put me on track to making a consistent income online.

So if this is true, can anyone suggest any 'quick and dirty' ways to making that first few dollars online which can spur struggling newbies on to bigger and better things?

This topic of making a few dollars fast has been beat to death at this forum over the years and I'm not really sure that anything productive has come from it. In my experience, having a solid game plan for a real business (not just chasing a few quick dollars) is what sets profitable marketers apart from the "hit and run" crowd.

That being said and in answer to your questions, here is a thread that has hundreds of ways to make quick cash:

What to do if you're desperate

Yes, it is probably because of recent charity drives here, and how much we have raised.

But no one here is going to donate money to a newbie that we don't know anything about, and has a zero track record, etc.

You build up trust over time and a reputation over time, then we will be more than likely to help out!

The first sale or the first $100 can be very challenging. It is a total breakthrough but the real challenge is to keep the cashflow going. Having a plan on how you will grow and generate the traffic to keep the money flowing is essential. I have two start-ups and the first has brought me $400 in about 2 mo. the second start-up just launched and we are at zero with very little exposure. I have a small checklist for everyday steps that will help to gain exposure. I then have another list for bigger things, marketing and influencers etc. etc. I find that it is very easy to forget to do a step or to miss a beat so the lists are handy. Goodluck to all!

The easiest way? Hmm...I'll break down a super simple way in 5 steps.

    1. Go to Target, Walmart, or anything or store of this sort.
    2. Go to the clearance section and start finding products.
    3. Go on eBay and see if you can find those same products being sold.
    4. Place your product on eBay and make a profit
    5. Repeat a few dozens times and you'll pass $100.

This is not something you'll scale to 100k a month but it's something you can do to break that 'entry barrier' and prove to yourself you can make money online. Hope this helps!

Logo contest is a good way of doing it. You are not afraid of competition. As long you are creative and have the skills, you can win those competitions easily. $50 per logo is a good start for beginners.

Affiliate marketing may be one way to go about it. Selling a service could also be done to earn these $100. Free Instagram traffic to promote email submit offers through a landing page or a squeeze page could be a route. However, scaling may be hard. But, this could be a source of some funds for other things.

As far as the service is concerned, one of the services that has earned me was reselling SEO services through my site. If I remember correctly, I was promoting that site with classified ads.

You can make your first $100 pretty fast in e-com (shopify)..however you can search in the WSO section for other ways to do it if you don't want to get into e-com..

I suggest you become an affiliate and advertise items on your website or blog. Amazon has a good affiliate program that you can try. Are you niche specific? You probably should narrow down to a niche or else your website may look like a "yard sale" instead of a "jewerly store."

Have you heard of the arbitrage model?

    You become the middle man.

Go to freelance sites and offer services such as logo creation and get em done in Fiverr for 5 bucks.

Am not a fan of this model but it's workable.

Internet Marketing is however a marathon, not a sprint.

If you want true passive income, you need a model which you can apply leverage and scale it up. Affiliate marketing, e-com, creating your own products, membership sites are good methods for this model.

I don't know if this counts, but I made my first $400 online in about 40 minutes. I walked into a local museum, sat down with the director, and walked out with a check to cover starting on their new website.

The fastest way to make money, online or off, is to offer something locally, either via something like Craigslist or by face to face selling. On the day I mentioned above, I also made two additional sales, albeit for lesser amounts/smaller projects, by going door to door in the business district of the rural town I lived in at the time.

If you want to limit yourself to purely online, and you have some kind of skill, check the gigs section of Craigslist. Pretty much everything else mentioned will take anywhere from several days to several months to generate the first dollar.

Actually, I think the opposite. Your first $100 is the easiest. Now getting to $100, or even $200 a day, that's the real "first" challenge.

    Good luck

There is nothing "quick" about making money online or else where...

The "dirty" part is the key, and where most people fail, you have to dig in and get your hands "dirty" and do the work...

You want to make money online, pick a method, affiliate marketing, digital arbitrage, create your own information product, open a t-shirt shop, write Kindle books, do physical product reviews, open a Fiverr/Upwork account and start bidding on gigs, the list goes on and on...

But do not think that it stops after you make a little money, if you want to keep making money you have to keep doing the work...

The laptop lifestyle work 4 hours a day stuff is mostly BS, until you get to a certain level...

But talk to any successful online person you see and how many hours a day do you think they work? More than most people that work 9 to 5 and put in 40 hours a week do, I promise you that...

Point is pick an online thing to do and start doing it and keep doing it...

Depends entirely on your skill set. Rather than looking for money, develop a skill set and work overtime to add more things to your arsenal.

For example: Learn Photoshop then website building then affiliate marketing etc etc.

There can be plenty of skillsets to go after. This is what I did to make my first $100 online.

  • Find a product in a niche you are familiar with. Find one around $200-$250 that pays an affiliate commission of 50%.

Talk to people about it until someone buys it.

Use email, social media, word of mouth, it doesn't matter. Someone will eventually buy it, especially if you know a little about it.

If you have good amount of experience in Affiliate marketing then CPA could surely help ,they pay very well. One lead in a day could generate easily around $50 for High Converting offers.

But they have very strict selection process and select only Affiliate who already have knowledge and know what they are doing.

I would say learn the basics of Bing and Adwords how you can generate on demand traffic abiding the rules they have.

Once you are able to master this traffic source $100 a day is not far away

Freelancing is one of the ways to make your first $100 online. Look at your skills and signup on one of the sites for freelancers like Fiverr, Upwork etc. It wont be rosy initially, but over time you will make sales.
