So, I know I've been jumping back and forth with niche website ideas. But in the back of my head it's tell me to do it. I'd love some perspective, experiences, or avenues I could explore. I know this is a massive niche but one I can relate to. I want to focus on adult men with acne scars. There are tons of products, tons or resources for developing great content, especially in forums. I'd like to dive deeper and get into the psychological effects, self-consciousness, anxiety issues associated with it. I could connect my personal experiences and create content on that. What are your thoughts on this? My other question, could I develop a site entirely devoted to men with acne scars? Treatments, products, self-help advice, ect...?

Sure, you can go ahead with this niche. However, you need to be persistent and work each day in your business to be successful. It will be a waste of time if you keep changing niches if it doesn't work initially. Growing a website will be a good idea. Try to reach out to people who have this problem. You'll easily find them on social media groups and forums.

    Good luck with your project.

Why are you asking us? Your thoughts, as you've expressed them here, show you have personal knowledge, a passion and a market. What do you need our input or opinion on?

With the costs so low to set up a website, why not just go ahead and do it?

I would advise you to reach out to "celebs" who have acne scars, and get them to relate their stories. Also, you can have a site devoted to ANYTHING.

If it is a money making venture, however, you should pencil out the profits before you begin, can you make it selling a few pounds of those "tons of products" and why would they buy from you?

MY thoughts are: Can you sell? Can you market? Can you tell your personal story in such a way as to establish rapport? Can you ease their pain? Do you offer value?

If yes, then quit asking and start doing. But just my opinion.

There is no reason why you cannot do this that is a good niche and if there are good products out there that you can promote then it's definitely worth trying. And I'm sure that the AdSense Revenue you could generate would be nice too since anything related to medical or that kind of Niche would yield you some nice returns from your AdSense clicks. eventually you could even go on to make your own product whether it be an ebook or even ship your own white label product.

Have you done your market research on your intended audience? It's easy to do and can be accomplished in a few hours ... but it is critical that you do it.

You say you know that this is "a massive niche." How do you know? Is it a hunch? A guess? Or have you actually researched into the niche?

How massive the niche is doesn't matter right now. What does matter is that you understand who your targeted prospects are, where you can find them online, what concerns, problems, and desires they have, what they will buy, and what/who is your primary competition.

Until you know and understand these questions, you are starting your business marketing blindfolded. And even though you think you know what your intended audience wants ... you really don't know for sure until you have seen what they are talking about online.

My guess is, 95% of new marketers skip this step. Why handicap your chances of being profitable? Get to know and understand those you want to serve so you can provide them with valuable information that will serve them well. Get them on an email list and engage them so they learn to trust you and your recommendations. Then you will be in prime position to sell them confidently ... knowing that you're offering exactly what they are seeking.

Regardless of your prospective niche, a marketing campaign should always begin by researching the marketplace so you understand what is in demand, what the current supply is like, and what value you can bring to the marketplace.

    The best to you,

^ That, indecision, lack of focus, lack of action etc. is the #1 reason people never actually get anywhere

There is no such thing as a 'massive niche' a niche by definition is small, if your target audience is still massive then you need to 'niche down' more.

Then what are you going to offer that others do not? What is going to make you special? The idea of niching down is to get to a place where there are not tons of people competing with you.

I believe you have a good niche but rather then pick a gender why not focus on acne scars in both men and women. A good tip to know is that Women spend alot more on beauty products then men do.

    Then do this...

And if you have a story to tell then tell it...

Show yourself and share your story or a story about a person close to you, that is ok to share the story of course ask them and make sure it is ok first...

Being real and coming from a place that you want to actually help people is going to win...

I think your best bet is to try it and see where it goes. No one will know for sure, the only way to find out is to try it.

Many new Entrepreneurs do that. Sometimes it's just part of the process of becoming successful.

I know this is a massive niche but one I can relate to. I want to focus on adult men with acne scars.
It definitely is a good and profitable Niche ... However I don't know how much "competition" there is.

I'd like to dive deeper and get into the psychological effects, self-consciousness, anxiety issues associated with it.
That could actually be a great Niche. If you could provide that information through your Website and/or product(s) ... Then I think it could be successful

I could connect my personal experiences and create content on that. What are your thoughts on this? My other question, could I develop a site entirely devoted to men with acne scars? Treatments, products, self-help advice, ect...?
Many times choosing something you have experience/knowledge/etc with can be a great motivator.

    Good Luck.

    Hi teddyjames,

it sounds like you have a great deal of knowledge as well as personal experience, which to me this is a recipe for a very successful blog that you can build. With your knowledge and experience in the niche you will never run out of unique content shared on your blog. Someone here said you need to do market research and make sure you will have audience for your niche! I more than agree with him! Just stick with what you pick in particular, be consistent and give it a big go!

    Yes, you can.

But you can do better: develop a video-course, give some advice in exchange of the mail and sell the videocourse.

use facebook for live, groups of facebook for engagement, and paid ads to target people with acnes.

    Then sell the products

    Even without any website.

Careful someone may call you out Jonathan

To the Orginial poster yes you can create a site about Mens Acne Scars and try to sell products on it. You are going to have to put the effort in the site to create value to see any results. Try working on it every day for a few hours for at least 6-12 months.

Can you first sell any product about acne as an affiliate marketer? If not you might just be winging it. Once you have the confidence that you can successfully sell products; you will be on the fast track to success.

Developing your own brand in a niche is a hard job. But if you do it correctly, it can be immensely popular. There are forums for domain resales, free web hosting offers etc. These are niche that are carved out of a broader niche. Similarly, if you are confident, there is a good chance that you are sitting on a gold mine.

I think that you are right to target the male demographic .However you must stop jumping backward and forward. And yes create content around the topic (achene) that is great idea.

This is a niche that people are desperate for help. People want results immediately, which isn't realistic. I can relate to this issue, and recommend solutions that can last a lifetime.

Emulate the ideas of what other successful people are doing. Keep it simple, and be authentic. There's so much BS out there, people buy it....but I want solutions that people come back to me for.

If you genuinely dig this niche, put in the research, and devote most of your energy to working it, you can succeed with it. But if you are lacking in any of those areas, ain't gonna happen. Think less about the niche and more about what YOU really want to work. Also, consider setting a deadline for hopping into 1 niche. Move from idea mode to action mode.
