They have high CTR and conversion because the people visiting are either brought to them by ambulance (affiliate) or they get themselves there fast.

Have a solution to a critical problem and make sure you have an emergency department ready to deal with the influx of critical patients.

The best traffic method you can use is the one that reaches your target audience efficiently and effectively. And that will depend on your market, your offer and your abilities.

If it was as easy as telling you "go here and say this," everyone would do it.

That doesn't mean there won't be people who try to give you a blanket answer. Those people will generally fall into three categories:

1> People who have found something that works for them, and simply assume that it's best for anybody.

2> People eager to sell you something whether it works or not.

In general, if you are selling products to personal customers, Facebook is a good place.
And if you are selling products/services to businesses, then Linkedin, email, Search engines are the best.

So far I have used the following sources of traffic.

1. Free Website Traffic.
2. Free Youtube Traffic.
3. Free Facebook Traffic.
4. Free Twitter Traffic.
5. Adwords Search Traffic.
6. Bing Search Traffic.
7. Facebook Paid Traffic.
8. Solo Ads.

Of all these traffic I have seen Solo Ads perform the best when you get the right vendor. Initially, I burned my money with Solo Ads but now I have a vendor where the Optin rate is good and I got a few sales from the same.

The Search Network Adwords or Bing Ads are both comparable. Both give you similar CTR for the same keywords. The only difference is that Adwords is much stricter about your ad and landing pages than Bing. At present, I am mastering this traffic because I believe in the end this will be the best traffic source for my offer. When someone types in what they want and I am able to deliver that is the best form of Selling I can do. So I am currently tweaking and tuning this source of traffic. At present, the cost of my Search Traffic is more than Solo Ads when I compare the Cost per Acquisition.

The facebook is more of a jail for people who are into affiliate marketing. I have got my account shut down more often and without any explanation of what I can do differently. Well with a budget of $10 to $20 dollars, I'm sure the Facebook support is not going to waste time on keeping me. Though I found that this was good traffic. The CTR was better than Search Network but Worse than Solo Ads. So at this moment, I am not running any Facebook ads.

All the free traffic is what I started with. But I wasted my valuable time. Though there are people who are masters at free traffic, I have not been able to become a master in this. I have very dismal CTR or Acquisition with this traffic. It still remains a fantasy in my mind because what best than to figure out the easiest way to get free traffic. I feel that this will happen when I become a true influencer which I'm not at this point.

So here is my current traffic ranking for selling online.

This is completely as per my understanding. I have started paid advertising since last one year or so. Before that, I was doing all free methods like SEO, Facebook Fan Page, Youtube Videos etc. I still continue to invest about 20% time in these free methods but 80% of my time goes in figuring out the paid traffic.

In the last few months, I have been able to improve my CTR in Search Traffic quite a bit. So I'm focusing on improving this further so that I can beat the cost of Solo Ads. When that happens, I will have a winning traffic method that I can use for all my promotions.

You can try to catch some Social traffic, such as Facebook, Twitter, etc, but also you could try to use some tools as spy-tools, such as Admobispy, that could help you looking for good traffic for your offer, but definitely this depends on the offer you are promoting exactly!

Bing Ads and Google Adwords traffic is high quality. It converts well for Clickbank products, as I found. The CTR and conversion depends on the product and landing pages used. I have also had success with Solo Ads.

IMO, you are making a big mistake in assuming that other peoples' traffic methods are going to work for you. Internet marketing is not like that. This is not a one-size-fits-all deal.

Why? Because you haven't taken into consideration that for you, the best methods are those that bring you the most targeted and relevant prospects for your specific business niche.

Here's an example: almost nobody in one of the niches I'm in visits Facebook or even has a FB account. How do I know? I've polled my respondents and asked them. I've done some targeting on FB and confirmed that it is almost dead for this particular niche. So if I randomly spent money on FB ads I can be fairly sure that the conversion would be minimal or even nothing.

So in answer to your question . . . I think you've first got to do some research on your best targeted prospects and see where and how you can most effectively reach them online.

Here's a hint that no one is going to give you: if you were able to reach your very most targeted prospects on the Internet, do you suppose that you might find them on the very best authority and highest ranking web sites for your best keyword phrases? I think so . . . I know so. Do a little digging.

Quite simply you will need to hang out where your audience is and engage with them by offering value.

If you want to Get More traffic than your Competitor in low investment, then Content Marketing is the best one among all. start writing abut the queries related to your service and product in which you are dealing. Because a query and is the only thing where readers read the full article of yours until he got the solution and share the content on social sites.

Higher CTR and conversion depends on the type of your business. Some products and services will be in high demand and it will get good conversion rates. Some business needs more efforts like social media promotion, AdWords etc to get it convert.

For the past 17+ years, my core business has been acquiring fresh / targeted data (email) and monetizing it.

That way I don't actually have to buy traffic, but rather I generate it by mailing the data.

It all depends on what you are promoting and your long-term goals.

For me my own mailing list is the best traffic source that I can get (and I can get the traffic at any time of the day, it's as simple as sending an email).

But in the past I've done Solo Ads, Bing, Banner Ads and PPV just to name a few. They all work great to build your list. What you do with it after you get people to subscribe will determine your success and how much you earn.

It depends on many factors...the people in the IM industry, even for a few years, understand the concept of"putting the right offer in front of the right people", this is the key ..Easier said than done but that's the essence...Once you have chosen a niche and a strategy for promotion then you can start looking for proven traffic sources that work and can provide good volumes of potential prospects..in each niche it's different..

Best traffic for me is your network and connections. With only these you can grow at a considerable size. Influencer marketing is also something worth looking into as that method is a people to people network.

But to get to that point and to make the best out of any traffic you use you need to have your "sales funnel" in place first. If your sales funnel does not convert well then even great traffic will fail. Many people focus too much on "what is the best traffic" when they should be building and testing a better converting funnel.

I had an awful experience with facebook ads. Targeted to New York but I don't think it would of mattered where I targeted it to.

Here's the odd thing about that traffic I bought. I randomly checked the profiles of a bunch of the people who liked my page and what I found shocked me. Most of the profiles were created in July last year. Most had just 2 public posts on them but heres the rub... they ALL had massive activity going around liking completely random stuff.

So I did some digging and it turns out this has been a massive issue with facebook ads for years. It's some scam were people selling fake likes build up their inventory of fake facebook users by going around killing peoples genuine ads so you can spend money on their fake likes.... well something like that anyway.

The BBC have exposed it as well as other key internet blogs and to be honest I would not spend another cent on facebook ads until Facebook get this fraud under control.
