Do sales usually die down around this time of year? =(

This is my first year in internet marketing and my first year making money online. Sales have been decent for the amount of time I put into my website with promotion and SEO, etc ...

Around mid September my sales started to fade until the last 3 weeks I haven't made one sale. The weird part is I'm still getting the same amount of traffic and still getting 18-25 hops a day and promoting the exact same products I have always been yet I'm seeing no sales.

This is in the "gaming" niche.

None of the links on my website are cloaked. I'm not sure if that really matters but I didn't want to go back and cloak them due to the fact that my site is already ranked on page 1 for a very competitive keyword (30,000,000 competition). I wasn't sure if cloaking my links might effect my rankings somehow.

Anyways, the main question is: Do sales usually fade around this time of year?

I just don't want to worry about sales somehow being stolen or some other BS.

Thanks,
Devin

As the nerds head in from the brisk cold your profits should rise...

I know for some of my sites in the weight loss niche around this time the sales do slow down a bit.

But 18-25 hops a day really isn't enough to make a judgement call on whether your sales are slow or not.

I would cloak your links though. (You'll get more clicks.)

Now that the holidays are starting to come around, sales should go up. Did your product owner change his pitch page at all? Maybe that is hurting your conversions.

My experience has been that this is the time of year when sales go up, usually way up.

Thanks for the input guys. I'm gonna cloak all my links and have a friend buy a product through my aff link and see if it registers the sale.

In my industry, and MANY others, Q4 is dead as a door nail. Unless you're selling sh!t people buy as presents, you're going to feel a hit.

Sept was a really bad month for me (I've been at this for 3 years so I'm sure what to expect).

October for the most part has been playing catch up by a long yard.
