Yes affiliate marketing can have low cost or even free. But keep in mind that any thing low cost usually pays out lower commissions.

Successful Marketing comes down to a 'process'. Are you going through the full process? Have you even started?

Don't be afraid to take action. Research the business ideas you're interested in and make decisions. Don't overwhelm yourself with the thousands of articles on each subject. take those ideas:

    1- writing scope
    2- exercise book making
    3- online t-shirt store
    4- online preschool

    Good Luck !

    Chili garlic sauces. No, really.

Not my business though. But this freelance Filipino writer I hire on occasion--and got a little chummy with--makes and sells the stuff on her own. She claims to make triple the money she spends on ingredients and packaging.

But she says she already has a garden of chilis, so I suppose that helps her save expenses.

I'd order a whole box from her, but she's not confident about shipping it outside her city yet, much less outside her country. A shame. It's a mean looking sauce. I might try doing my own here and see if it's a hit. It'd be great on BBQ.

I've been promoting affiliate / CPA offer for over 17 years. Below is what and how I do it and it has worked extremely well for me.

I heavily promote PPL (pay per lead...lead generation) offers. This is because there is no credit card / purchase required to complete an offer. All a user has to do is fill out a form, so conversion rates are typically much higher compared to offers that require a sale to be made.

I favor offers that have a make, get or save money benefit to them, as they have overall worked the best. They also tend to have the greatest mass appeal (will be of interest to a large general audience), so the potential exists to produce high volume and they are fairly easy to cross promote on the back-end.

Some of the verticals (niches) I have done extremely well with are: education, insurance, loans, debt, credit, mortgage, assistance, discount offers, homeowner offers, etc...

The bulk of the PPL offers that I promote pay $20-$40 per lead, but I also promote offers that pay more and less. You don't want to get too caught up on what an offer pays because how well it converts is just as important. For example, if you have an offer that pays $9, but if it converts at 2X or more of a $20 offer, then it will perform about the same or possibly better. At the same time, if you have an offer that pays $90 and it converts poorly, it may not even be worth promoting.

I have also done just as good with dating website sign-ups and pretty good with free trial + S/H offers. I also promote a very limited number of offers that are straight sales. For them, mass appeal is still the number one thing I look for and I also look for one of the following...

    1) The product is new and/or novel-unique and you can't purchase it locally or even something similar. I don't waste my time with it once something similar shows up in Walmart.

    2) The buyer can truly get what is being offered at a decent discount.

    3) Solves a house is on fire type problem.

However, I mainly promote non-PPL offers on the backend.

The online lead generation business is huge and done right it can be more profitable than most imagine. Bottom line, it's far easier to get someone fill out a short form than to get them to pull out their credit card and make a purchase. So why struggle with trying to sell this or that, when you can provide free information that users want/need and get paid well doing it.

    Something to think about.

Hi, I like the affiliate marketing route but you need to have a high value sales funnel with it. In my view it needs to come with high level of education and support and if possible a access to a community of similar affiliate marketers as going alone can be soul destroying and frankly a little overwhelming. I spent loads of time promoting a "cost per action" deal so only name and email, no credit card but it only paid $8 a lead which just wasn't with the effort. Also I write courses, video shooting and editing for small businesses and website building and Facebook adverting. I'm just about to start offering to businesses local to me a video creation day where we get 5 business owners or similar and identify what type of video the want or would need, then script it and shoot it so they can be seen as a leader in the field or go to expert. I just love video.

However, in my opinion, affiliate marketing needs investments, and usually, your media-buying spending will eat a big chunk of your revenues. From the aspect of advertisers, when they put a price on the payout for one CPA/sale offer, they consider how much they would spend if they marketed the same offer, and give you the same or slightly lower payout.

Another way is to market the offers using "free" techniques. Needless to say, you cannot expect a real long-term business based on that.

Briefly said, I'm not on that bus to affiliate marketing route.

Right now in 2018 one of the biggest profit potential businesses, is social media marketing.
At the same time having the ability to start from a thousand dollars even as low as zero dollars to start.

    Why?
Because businesses realize their potential customers are on social media, and if they can use a professional marketer to invest their money out, into capturing customers on social media to make a double or more profit, they will pay anyone would!

    High Demand
With the amount of money (return on investment) businesses and self employed influencers are making from social media more and more people want to recreate these possibilities for their selves.

Well, McDonalds makes most of its money selling sugar water.

Personally, I love what I do. I sit down at a blank screen and after I add words it becomes something of value. It is almost as much fun as when I was a magician.

Though, I'll admit my profits are not as "large" as I'd like and in the case of ghostwriting (which I love) I am still trading time for money. Which is why I'm branching out into Kindle, etc.

I think creating a site is relatively low cost business but it still requires your investment of time. You have to work hard on the site and post a quality content. Focus on its on page and off page SEO and after have a decent amount of visitors, apply for Google Adsense and also apply to any Niche related affiliate marketing. In this way you can earn money from your visitors.

Are we talking offline or online here ? While I had an offline business one thing my uncle said to me who had many successful businesses was, you will never make any real money if the business cannot run without you being there.

This is something I never forgot and for that reason I truly believe arbitrage is one of the best business models their is, in particular web design and follow up services.

Now there is a right way and a wrong way to do arbitrage and the wrong way will see you getting bogged down in orders, clients screaming at you as their order is late and off bad quality. This will drive you crazy in no time.

If you are going down the arbitrage route you need a solid hands free system in place that requires minimal input.

The best business you can jump in is Email Marketing: cause it builds an ASSET and requires not so large investment (look at Solo Ads).

If you play with mobile apps, games, sort of scammy tricks which definately force people to subscribe catfishing them, you can make fast profit but you will be banned and sooner or later fined.

Stick to what have always worked: list building and sustainable marketing

I liked the lemonade stand suggestion Also you could try getting a bucket and a sponge and washing windows. The big problem with these types of businesses though is that you are always exchanging your time for money. The way to make it big is to get others to do the lifting for you. That's where the real money is anyway.

It all depends on how much money you are considering as a low investment. Because a low investment can be relative. But if you're saying a low investment like $7 or something like that then I will have to say no it's no possible if you don't any marketing skills.

If you have marketing skills and also technical skills it may be possible. Nevertheless, any business you start will require time and or money. The internet can be incredible, however, it takes a lot of work, time and for sure money to make a life changing income online.

Just be easier to walk around the back of Walmart and pickup the strays by the dumpster. No need to waste money driving to a Craigslist posters pick up location. When you can go ultra low cost by getting the free cats at Walmart to sell in their parking lots. If Walmart does not have any cats and you live near the Sweeper Store, in Wooster just pick up the strays there.

Hi mate. This is a very interesting topic. Honestly, I just attended an online seminar last Saturday. It requires no sales, no promotions, no advertisement and definitely not required to follow-up at all. Guess what, make use of AMAZON platform.

Currently, AMAZON platform has reached more than 175 countries worldwide with more than 300 millions visitors daily. A proven track record and richest in this business.

Based on the seminar, we just need to look for good products that sells well. Subsequently look for the manufacturers to produce the products. That's it and sell in AMAZON platform.

Hope you did not spend a lot of money for that seminar. Amazon is very tough to compete on when it comes to the competition. When you see a product that sells well that is where the competition is. Some of the manufactures are selling directly to Amazon. Just look at Baby diapers for proof. You won't be able to sell certain brands because of the agreements the manufactures have with Amazon.

Speaking for personal experience. When you fill out your items to sell, Amazon will notify you what the lowest price is for that good selling product. If you can compete on price go ahead and give it a try. Just don't forget the shipping fees and Amazon's cut. Yes they take a % of your total sale and hold your money for 30 days before sending a payment. Just want to point that out, if the seminar glossed it over.

You can start a network marketing business (MLM) for low startup costs many of them $50 or less. But make sure the MLM business you are joining is selling a premium product or service and has been in business for 20+ years. There are many scams out there that just want you to recruit people and do not sell products or services. If you find a product or service that you would personally use and feel proud to promote and be a part of it then you should go forward with it.

I have been network marketer for some years now. Starting costs are low considering. You can do it even for free but I would not recommend it, because you value and treat your business same way as you have put up any risk for losing it. We build a shopping network, biggest in the world and any customer membership is all free. Well, do you think it is easy to give something for free? Usually yes ...but many customers treat it same way like anything they get for free. You have to make them use at least once. How ever any customers use our loyalty system and save some money, you will be rewarded so basically our network marketing business is a bit like affiliates, but difference is that affiliates target one or few shops and advertise it. You can just promote ppl to use our shopping network. They can buy any brand from any shop within and you get paid. Income from this type of business is coming steadily and depends on how big sales volume your own customers and team create, your income becomes passive quickly. It can be also very high. Good average could be idea of 1 US$ / customer /month for example. It can be lower but also it can be much higher.

I think a service business has a small startup cost and can yield huge profits. Imagine being a consultant for a particular industry. You could charge $500/month or so just for your advice, and small amounts of technical work on your behalf. At $500/month, at 4 clients, that's a nice $2,000 per month. It may seem small to alot of you, but for some people, it's more than enough to pay all the bills for their mobile home trailer - without having to go to work to pay the bills.

From your limited description of the plugin, there is nothing there that will boost rankings,
          and...
unless you are using very long-tailed keywords, the products/images/descriptions that are auto-posted on your site will be duplicates of both the source of the auto-post as well as duplicates of other sites in the same niche that are using the same plugin.

Any online marketing related service will work. Just run an infrastructure, make your product ready, drive traffic & earn money as long as you're alive. Affiliate marketing that shares partnership/ lifetime revenue is another great chance to gain in life financially.

    Thanks

How about cryptocurrency as an investment? If you believe that decentralization is the future, you know that digital currency will have a lot of demand in the future. Search for ambitious cryptos that you think will be popular in the future with high demand. There is a lot of learning to do before trading cryptos and it is stressful.

I'm fairly sure crypto currency isnt doing to hot at the moment. I could be wrong tho.

I dont have a ton of knowledge in investing in it, but on the pc market side, when the crypto currency boom happened graphics card prices shot up (you farm crypto with a ton of strong graphics cards). But they are back to normal, meaning people are starting to move on from farming crypto. And if people dont want to farm it for money, its prob not that good to invest in either.

As mentioned numerous times, create a digital asset with your expertise (and hopefully something that folks will find value with). Most of the initial cost is your time. Once built, the asset (video, eBook, etc...) can be sold over and over with minimal cost. Low cost - high margin!

Software isn't that simple... I built software a few years ago. You might think that once the software has been created you are done. No so. You need a product roadmap to ensure your software remains useful as the surrounding environment changes (new and deprecated APIs) and you need to build out new features. You need some sort of support desk - believe me - the functionality that is obvious to you will be entirely obscure to your customer. Just a couple of things to consider...

I still say as far as bang for your buck, affiliate marketing can't be beat.

Your overhead is basically just web histing and an autoresponder.

You can also make good money with it, if you have a systen. Sure, if you're spamming links randonly to foruns and Facebook groups - you'll not earn much, if anything. But if you focus on having an active email list and providing them with real value, including relevant offers, it can be a while different ballgame.

Like anything, you need a strategy or it won't be successful. Of course this includes proper research & targeting, social media & other traffic strategies, etc.

Ask the guys & gals who make $100,000 online thanks to a good email list if affiliate marketing is a " waste of time".

The answer to your question varies from person to person based on their background and experience.

To me it must be something related to the internet.

Specifically, it is on affiliate marketing.

It has many advantages: small startup cost, low risk, you can do it any time you like, you can see the results quickly (unlike real world business which take ages to set up and run), and no need to meet people (great for introverts like me).

To enjoy large profits, it must be something self replicating with minimal effort after the initial ground work.

The way I achieved this is by creating a video training course which acts as a funnel to a high ticket program (costing $2,000+) by a top internet marketing guru.

Prospects who opt into my video course can watch Part 1 to 5 of my course for free. Inside the five videos, I remind them they can get more info and freebies if they watch Video 6- which they will receive only if they refer three of their friends to watch Video 1.

In this manner, I do not have to refer new prospects after my first level referrals- as they will continue to grow rapidly by themselves through compounding effect (I know people who grow their lists to 100k+ within a couple of months without additional work). But you must have something of value for people to share!

In addition, the traffic from my referrals will help to drive traffic to my Youtube videos, which will rank them higher on Youtube and Google, thus attracting more traffic to my video training course.

I have something, but it's not related to internet marketing. One simple answer is horse racing betting. This is assuming you're good at it. Think about it. You can started for as little as a few dollars and with skill and some time you can potentially run it up into a decent sized bankroll. This is something I've been working on for years now and it isn't easy. In terms of access though and investment sized it's certainly something anyone can do if serious enough.

Yes. This is a very good opportunity to pursue if your goal in life is to live in a cardboard box, eating beanie-weenies out of a can, because heaven knows, the stories of incredible success, simply abound.

I wouldn't say that. I made over 28k during the Wimbledon. It's definitely not the most sound way to make a living, but there is money to be had if you know what you're doing.

With that said, if I were looking for a low investment (which is relative, by the way) I would have predictive software made for the sports betting industry. Good software in this industry sells for hundreds of dollars. Possibly more.

I used to pay $297 a year for a software that just let you see trends based on certain data inputs.

I know a guy who gives away something to restaurants for free, usually in the AM, by the evening he has 1000 bux cash in his pocket.

Well, mostly checks or credit cards, but that is $1,000.00 PROFIT. Does something like this fit the bill?

Low investment business through online is Affiliate Marketing. But, you still need to spend some money on autoresponded like Aweber or Getresponse. You need money to build list, create landing page (converting - it's has professionally created sales copy and elements like video and graphics).

If we take offline in my option it's an Insurance or financial advisory business. To start with it will be a one man show and the investment is much low. You will have to work out with your contacts and by providing some free tips to you first circle. This can be done using free online tools like Twitter, Linkedin and to Facebook.

For above both ways if you are good at making videos and post it to YouTube with proper optimization can generate leads.

However, any business needs significant amount of initial investment. The investment should bring value to your business and not on something fancy things.

Research before you invest on the needs and revalue it before spending $$$ on them. Look if you can do it your self, since if you are just starting out you will have some spare time in the early mornings or after you complete you days schedule.

    Affiliate marketing.

In particular CPA marketing in which you gets paid for generating leads instead of sales.
