I mean I DON'T live in Europe but if i get customers and sales from the EU do i need to pay tax's for that?

Also how and when do you do that???

And how to keep records about that?? nobody seems to touch on this subject i find.

Good question, l have an Envato account that is based in the US, and since l am in Australia, l have to pay the US royalty tax, which since the US and AU have made a deal, is only 25 cents out of a $6 product.

But others from countries that have not, (an alliance) pay up to 30%.

If you are a US citizen then you will probably need to fill this one in, or form W-9, and if not then this one, W-8 information, (just checked Envatos, tax requirements).

So yep, you will need to pay the US royalty tax, than can be a lot of a little depending on country of origin.

Unless you don't get any orders from the US, then you will only need to pay tax for the lump sum at tax time, in your country of origin.

Obviously seek out professional advise, but that is my understanding.

That's because acting on tax advice you get from posts on a public forum can land you in serious trouble. Nobody here knows your situation and you don't know whether a respondent is qualified.

Tax regulations are specific to your jurisdiction. Consult a professional in your country/state who can provide a qualified opinion.

As pointed out in an earlier reply, you have already been given some misinformation in the replies.

    As an affiliate...
YOU don't get customers nor sales from other countries. YOU don't participate in the actual sale. YOU don't receive monies from the customer, nor do you deliver product to the customer.

YOU are simply an advertiser, working on behalf of the seller. You are paid by the seller (not the customer). The only financial transaction you are involved in is the receipt of "commissions" based on your success in advertising the seller's product. YOU receive those monies from the seller - NOT from the customer.

The seller (product creator/publisher/vendor/merchant) may be liable for taxes in the EU, but YOU ARE NOT.
