Did anyone launch a brand new blog via facebook ?

Hello Warriors,
The reason for this question is quite simple. I am currently trying to launch a blog and I am trying to define the best way to get subscribers (even before blog posting).
Could facebook ads, and contest through facebook be a good option ? For me the answer is yes, but any feedback on this will be helpful for me and the commlunity !

    I've used Facebook's boosted posts to promote several new blogs recently. Although the click-thru rate was good, the conversion rate was horrendous.

    I tested about 10 posts and spend several hundred dollars only to find what others have posted for years: Facebook ads don't convert well and, in my opinion, they bring the lowest quality of visitors.

    PLUS

    Don't write anything political or controversial. Facebook's AI ad approval will not approve your ad. Free speech is Dead on Facebook.

    Bottom-line: For me, Facebook was a total waste of money and for my markets it just doesn't work.

    It's very competitive on Facebook and as previous user said, a lot of the visitors don't covert well. But for blog, i think it's a good option. Combine with YouTube and you'll be good to go
