How Do I Share Videos?

Hi everyone,

I am making some videos and I want to share them on social media and as many video sites as possible i order to get eyeballs and traffic to my sites. I intend to do this on a regular basis.

I am not experienced in social sites or video sites so I am completely clueless how to do this.

What's the best way to distribute the videos in an efficient fashion?

I'd be grateful for your suggestions about how to go about doing this.

Many thanks,

John

The most simple way is to upload a video to Youtube, then use the "share" buttons under the video to share to the major social sharing sites. You'll need to create accounts at each social site to be able to share to them.

Many thanks for all of those contributions.

OK, so I need to "share" the video on social sites. So, I'll make accounts on the following sites:

    Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and Twitter.

Then what do I do? I understand that I need to share the videos but I've never done this before. Who do I share them with? I won't know anyone on these sites.

Sorry for the dumb question but I'd appreciate some insights to the process.

    John.

Simply copying the URL of the video from YouTube and pasting on Twitter, FB, etc works nicely. YouTube actually offers you share buttons to do the job quickly and easily.

First, you have to create a separate Business page of each social media, then fill out all the information about your page, after that, you can upload videos.
Enter relevant information about given Video

Thanks, everyone. I've taken note of everything said so far.

So, I create a separate Business page for each social media site and then post the video. I do not understand how anyone will then get to view the video. I will not have any connections or following.

Do I need to do anything after I've posted the video on the various sites? How do I attract people to watch the video?

  • Just pick the top sites on video sharing. As many here suggested, YouTube is a good start as people can share videos instantly on YouTube.

Firstly you need to make a unique video with unique and user attractive & attract full content, then research on target keywords, use proper keywords in content, also use related keywords in content. then for views, you can choose social media platforms, for getting more views, but here you need to share the video with different ways (free/paid). then you can get good views on your video.

Create your own Youtube channel and put/upload your videos over there, and share them in your social media account, and you can attract more viewer by creating an account on topbuzz.com and connect your youtube account to the site (topbuzz). But beware, topbuzz doesn't like advertising videos. Your videos must be natural or kind like telling story, not direct promotion. topbuzz will help you get unlimited viewers from 1st and 2nd tier countries automatically. You don't need to do more, but just uploading your videos or just simply connect your youtube channel. Good luck!

    Hey John,

Firstly, produce videos that help give solutions to a particular type of query or questions that crop up on a fairly regular basis.

Then, find out from each social media platform how to post and what to post. For example, Instagram will only allow videos up to 60 seconds long, so you'll need to consider posting a teaser video with a call to action for viewers to watch the full version on YouTube.

To give the potential viewer an incentive to view your video on YouTube, mention that they can download, say, a free PDF highlighting the top 7 benefits of.....

Thanks, Herewegoagain. That's just the sort of thing that I need to know.

My main issue at the moment is I do not understand how I will get people to visit the posts that I make. Any thoughts, anyone?

Each social site is different. I suggest you dedicate a week to each of the major social sites to learn about each and how to build an audience on each, starting with Youtube which is actually a social site too.

In addition to building a following, each site also has their own search algorithms.

Building a following on social media takes a consistent effort over a period of time. For example for Twitter a common strategy is to follow the followers of leaders in your niche in the hopes they will follow you back. After a few days you need to unfollow those that didn't follow you back. There are limits to how many people you can follow and unfollow.

For Facebook, I suggest joining groups related to your niche and participate actively in each. As you become known, invite people to be your friends, building an audience of people interested in your niche. You may also be able to post your videos directly to the groups, depending on the culture of each group.

Once you get each social site set up you can use a site called IFTTT.com to automatically post your YT videos to each, although at first I'd use YT's social share buttons and do it manually.

I'd focus on these sites, one at a time:

      Youtube
      Reddit
      Twitter
      Facebook
      Instagram
      Pinterest

Each has their own cultures which you need to research and respect...

Also, check out which social sites IFTTT.com submits to and create accounts for the secondary social sites and use IFTTT to automatically submit to them.

There are multiple courses, reports, books and videos explaining how to use each social site for marketing which go well beyond the scope of this forum post.

Yes, most will recommend YouTube and Facebook sharing, though I would mention Vimeo, TwitchTV, Yahoo! Screen, DailyMotion ... and there are others. These are mostly western or global video sharing platforms. You may search for specific platforms catering to Asia (Taiwan, Korea), China and even Russia as they are all large markets with their own specific favorites for video sharing. Good luck!

I usually post my videos on both YouTube and Facebook. I also send the video to my list. You can use socialmarker.com for free social bookmarking links.

Just randomly sharing videos on social media doesn't guarantee that most people will actually watch them.

You will need to be a part of each community (a person of value that gets noticed) in order to get the most bang out of your efforts.
