How to Have a Successful Launch- Sleeves Rolled Up, Knuckles Cracked.

Warriors...

Hear thee hear thee.

Haven't been active as of late.

Been taking care of the shiny object syndrome via implementation.

Hopefully this thread will provide some value to other beginners. IM can be a confusing dimension.

Being one myself, I thought I'd 'document' the start of my launch, or at least have a checklist ready to go for others to learn from, all the while receiving some actionable advice.

With the help and guidance of some of the successful, knowledgable vets here on WF (you know who you are), we can bring value to others in need, too.

I'll start with providing some general context with my positioning in IM and in my niche.

I've been 'studying' for the past 2 years, slowly making sense of this all.

Having 10 years+ in my profession/hobby/niche, I thought i'd monetize it by helping others with similar goals.

I too was a beginner in my field- I understand the roadblocks. The journey was arduous. Nevertheless, I rose to 'top in the world' in my niche in 2017 held by the biggest organization in my profession. This may come off as 'self-helpy', but i'd love for others to realize their aspirations in the niche i'm in.

I've synthesized a solution for the roadblocks. Ready to give value...mind you this niche is pretty saturated...but...BUT, the niche happens to be populated with 'faceless entities'.

Instead, my approach is of being heavily branded by humanization (myself, this is where relationship building and trust come in).

The checklist:

-Lead magnet: Done
-Backend product: Done
-High-ticket product: Done
-Website: Done
-Landing Page for opt-in: Done
-Blog- Done
-Autoresponder and email sequence: Done (this is where the magic happens)

Foundation/framework is there, now it just needs the walls and paint.

This is where it may get tricky for some. For my particular niche, I've chosen these sources for traffic. This is where i'm a bit stuck, so i'll work on mastering a select few.

Traffic sources (I plan on having most traffic directed to the squeeze page for the lead magnet via Display Network, and other traffic to my blog):

1. Blog: I've compiled a list of over 300+ emails of webasters in my niche I can reach out to. I can either A) build relationships and develop some backlinks B) Guespost [same as B pretty much] C) Offer something of value, like an infographic or article. Goal here is to build a relationship, I've luckily got in touch with some of the big-shots, so i'll be working with them shortly. At this point, its about creating KILLER content that provides VALUE. I've used apps that gathered top-ranking and top-shared blogs within my niche. More than 100+ links of relatable content. Guest posts and link building opportunity here by contacting the webmaster for those links or build a better article via the 'skyscraper' technique.

2. Youtube: Haven't posted anything up yet. 2 videos are ready to go in 1080p-4k with my lead magnet opt-in at the end. For now, I'll get traffic from the 19k+ following from my IG. That might boost views and shares.
-Anyone know how to get videos to go viral on YT?

3. Google Display Campaigns: I've got zero experience in this field, but I know where my audience hangs out. I'd likely set 3-4 campaigns on different websites where I know they'll be. They're looking for a solution, i've got their solution and I know where they gather. Probably won't delve into facebook ads YET, as this is quite a beast to take on.

Im not outsourcing anything right now, btw.

Thats pretty much it for traffic for now. It's nothing crazy.

I plan on generating some organic growth via guest posts/link building while the google display campaigns are running.

4. Monetization: This is where I plan on putting one of my back-end e-products on ClickBank. This will also be a first, not sure what to expect or what to look out for in the ClickBank world. This is where I need some experienced words of wisdom.

I'll likely build a month-to-month re-bill section for exclusive members on my site for all the how-to's, tips, tricks etc, from start to finish.

Also, I know this has probably been mentioned countless times...but, where can one find some JV's? I'll be looking to gather about 10 JV's with 50 or maybe even 60% commission payout.

What say you?

Please let me know if i'm missing something here. Hopefully this can help others, too. But, just remember, each person will have a different path. What will work for me may not work for you. So many variables..but I thought i'd lay a 'universal' checklist down.

Thanks for reading.

:]

Awesome that you focus on friendship-building through blogging. I dig it. One note; help these folks out without asking for anything in return. Nice personal touch. Makes you stand out even more and leads to bigger sales down the road. Advice shared from a blogger who has been pitched at least once over the past 10 years online LOL.

Just a quick tip that if you are thinking about Clickbank, 75% commissions are pretty much the minimum (90% are the new 75% comms these days) - especially if you are relatively unknown as a vendor.

Why do you want JV's? It sounds like you're gearing up for implementation of an affiliate selling system through ClickBank.

    Just a couple of comments.

It sounds like you're trying to make everything perfect prior to "opening up the door to your store." In the event that your product(s) doesn't sell ... you've gone to a whole lot of work without testing your marketplace.

Most seasoned product developers engage their prospects while they're building their products. They test everything ... the product, the offer, their copy, their funnel, their price point, their CTA and on and on. The reason they do that is so prospect input and feedback guides their product development and marketing. These developers don't like negative surprises come launch day!

Are you currently building an email list of subscribers? You can do this from day one with your blog and a lead magnet and autoresponder. No sense waiting until everything's perfect to begin gathering and nurturing an audience in your niche.

You said: "mind you this niche is pretty saturated."

If that is really the case, then you need to move to the edge of the niche and position your business in a space that isn't occupied. Have you researched the niche to find the "gaps" or "holes" - products that the audience is begging for that are not currently available? There is no sense in just becoming one more vendor in a crowded marketplace. Find a way that you can offer a different kind of product that will set your business apart from all the competition.

Good luck to you with this effort,

    Steve
