Google Maps - Having more than one address

Hi all,

I have 2 locations that I work from and wondering if I add a 2nd address, would that hurt my local rankings on Google Maps in any way.
Also, would there be any SEO benefits?

Lots of companies have multiple locations. The question is: will listing them all confuse your prospects? If so, you have a problem ... if not, don't worry about it.

Why can't you designate one address as your "official" or preferred address but also list your others as "other locations" or something similar?

You don't have your mail sent multiple places, so why confuse your prospects? If you have physical local business locations, that can be explained on your web site easily enough.

Choose one main locale and stick with it.

it wouldn't hurt your local rankings, no. Just look at the businesses on Google Maps with multiple locations. Might be easier for you to rank one once you've ranked the other.

Chad Kimball Here... the more locations you have on Google maps, the more calls you will get if you do it right! Maps is a great opportunity that many don't know how to utilize, can be a total cash cow.

https://support.google.com/business/.../4407564?hl=en lets let the authority answer the question. Basically if they are offering this type of support within Google Maps.. it wont hurt you.

Google maps more and more is based apon the PROXIMITY of the user in comparison to your business... as long as the 2 locations are not within a few miles of each other.. ( the minimum number I have heard thrown around is 10 miles.. but I don't know how true that is ) your "REACH" could basically double.

    Hope that Helps!
