Create Marketing Video's - What Format?

I want to create some website marketing videos. I have the video editing software.

The video loops I want to use are available in these formats: wmv, flv, mpeg, avi & mov.

1. Which is the best import format to use to create the videos in the video editing software?
2. For website use, which is the best output format?

Thanks,

Joel

.mov is a pain in the a*s for many video players. I would use wmv, flv, or mpeg to create videos. But without a doubt .flv flash is the easiest on websites and carries the lightest load.

I use MP4 and store and stream them from Amazon S3 to save server space and bandwidth. MP4 is high quality output.

Well as an IT expert i must comment on this topic:

For internet use: stick with flv unless you need high quality resolution, in that case i suggest mp4

For cd/dvd use I suggest mpeg it gives the best compression/quality ratio.

I second that. Unless you're marketing to a bunch of graphics gurus.
      Then go high quality.
