Is it worth it to use an SEO company for my website which sells a digital product?

Hey I was just wondering if you guys think that it's worth it to use some sort of SEO company that could help me out with the marketing of my website.

I'm good at the content creation part, and surprisingly I've managed to make a somewhat decent number of sales just by simply making a bunch of YouTube videos that link back to my site. My traffic kinda sucks at only about 250 "sessions" per day.

My site consists of a bunch of free content as well as the "members section" which is my primary means of monetization.

Practically none of my sales come as a result of my email list (which currently only has about 550 people on it).

In short, I think I have a good product and a very useful website but my marketing abilities suck. I'm also not confident in my abilities to start using paid traffic sources such as Facebook ads.

Therefore, I was thinking that maybe an SEO company could help me out with the marketing part of it...considering that's my weakest area of this whole IM business thing.

What do you guys think? Worth it?

Thanks.

    Hi,

you are making most of your sales directly from your website which shows the strength that it has.

The member's section must be very appealing.

If you don't fancy Facebook ads SEO could be good for you long term although it can be a bit expensive and hit and miss.

But as you mentioned that you are getting some decent traffic from Youtube, what I would do is to target traffic from Youtube more.

If you were considering paying some one for SEO, why not pay someone to create more videos for you.

Have a playlist, and interlink videos for greater rankings in Youtube (if you are not already).

Pay someone on Fiverr.com to submit the videos to social sharing sites.

As you know where your traffic is coming from I would try and expand on this as you know this is already a successful source of traffic.

    Just my thoughts.

    Best Regards

    I would do 3 things:

    1) Syndicate the content that is working...make sure your building a Facebook and Insta presence that you can also share your video content - if it works on YT then it will work on these other platforms and they give you very good ability to target (hashtags, keywords, commenting on others posts, etc...)

    2) I would then move into paid ads ASAP - if your content is working, conversions are decent and numbers work out then you can kill it with paid ads right out of the gate

    3) If you haven't already done this, set up funnels for your content, that way you can get an even better capture rate for your content and sell them things multiple times

Congrats! And when I say congrats I mean; You are describing the exact issue that most IM's / Forum Visitors are experiencing. And I love that you use the word "Wondering". You're a dreamer. Dreamers have a better chance.

I'll provide you some value, but it's how you interpret it that's important:

    1. "some sort of SEO company " Cringe. That is essentially blood in the water, you probably have a few private messages from sharks by now. Don't respond.

Just remember this: There are NO "guarantees". So if you see that buzz word and the name of the company is not Google, run away. Fast.

    2. Next, you ARE in fact doing something. Don't ever feel like you are not. It's not at the level you probably expect it to be simply because you stopped along the way just enough to get distracted with everything thrown at you. Take what you know and treat it as if it's the 1st floor of a skyscraper. Instead of asking yourself "how do I get to the top of this massive building" (goal), ask yourself "how do I get to the next floor". Not only how to get to the next floor but how to escalate everything once you are there. Success is not always measured by reaching the top. Just ask... any number of members here.

    3. There is an insane amount of talent on this specific forum for FB Ads. It can get overwhelming but all roads lead to the same thing: Can you execute.

So ask yourself this; Are you the Sponge or the Water? Are you the Horse or the Cart?

If this makes sense to you, you're more than halfway there.

    Cheers,
    Vegas

Brian, you may be better off spending your money on hiring a PPC expert rather than something like SEO.

But do a LOT of due diligence. Both fields are overflowing with idiots who haven't got a clue about what they're doing, along with the better-publicized crooks and scammers.
