Looking for tips to help promote my website / blog

Hi All, We are looking for help / advise on how to promote our website.

We have various social channels that generate some traffic however as you can not advertise (ppc)
on any of the big platforms including google for hemp related products, so we are looking for new avenues / ideas.

If any of you have anything you think we could use then would be great to get your input. Anything would be appreciated.

If you want to view our site to get idea, then if allowed will post link in comments however this is not a self promotional post so not just posting link now.

      I've personally tried Reddit, and it is so difficult to use. Every time I try to contribute to the feed, it says I'm not allowed, because I haven't contributed enough. I try to contribute, and it won't let me. What am I doing wrong?

    Instagram allows weeds ads, you can try that platform. You can also join Facebook Groups and market to the people there directly.

    You're coming up to bat with two strikes already against you if Google is not going to give you any love. Most affiliates, ad networks, bloggers, and search engines, etc, are not going to want to be associated with a product banned by Google which currently commands 90+ percent of the market share of all Internet searches* according to Business Insider.

    I'm not saying you have an impossible task at hand ... but I don't like your chances of success.

    You need to promote with all of these:

    Facebook
    Youtube
    GDN Ads
    Native Ads
    Twitter Ads
    Adwords Ads
    Instagram Ads
    Solo Ads
    Write Guest Content on related sites
    Forum Marketing
    Live Feeds
    Quora
    Slide Share
    Pinterest
    the list goes on, but you get the idea...

    Free traffic will cost you boatloads of time... both to get the ads out and a long time to see results. Paid traffic is much faster to see results and when you see great results, then you scale up BIG TIME. Spend more money for bigger and better returns.

    You should try PPC. Get on Google Adwords (Google Ads) and Bing Ads, and only target people who would be most likely to buy your product. This is a fast and easy way to get traffic. Also consider media buys. Very effective.

    There are also some more techniques to increase traffic in your website. You can start an email marketing campaign which is affordable and fast result oriented. You can go for Facebook ads or followed up the groups similar to your services. You can also submit Guest posts, web 2.0 and classified ads.

    I say, give what you want.

    Promote as many other bloggers as possible through:

    - social media
    - your blog
    - commenting genuinely on their blogs

    Make friends with these folks, and those friends will promote you, growing your success.

    This is how to get lasting, quality, business-building traffic. Most other methods are fleeting, or yield low quality, low volume traffic.

    Social Media is hot for traffic. Just make sure its targeted to your niche. You Tube, Instagram, Quora would be my top three. Make sure you're building a list with the traffic that the website is receiving from Social Media Traffic and have a follow-up email system in place for the LeadGen.

        You are not barred from here! You really only made a mistake because you did not know the rules. You are still welcome here you. There is nothing stopping you from getting a simple signature and putting a link directly to your blog there. If you wish.

        The forum has to have a few basic rules or this place would be nothing but a article dump. A while back when they accepted articles in the sub forum, this place was hit hard with a lot of junk and stolen content.

    Right - but still can't copy/paste your articles here from your site. When you join a new platform - usually a good idea to take a bit of time to learn your way around before you try to dictate what 'size' the thinking is.

    Where do your competitors promote? Are they on Amazon, eBay, Etsy, etc.? What social platforms are they using? Where are they getting links?

    If you're a grower, wouldn't you be better off making yourself a list of dispensary and contacting them?


    If you're a dispensary, wouldn't you be better off getting in touch with people who've got lots of followers who have written/spoken in favor of legalization? Getting involved in the discussions about uses of hemp and how in other countries where they can use hemp, they're doing great and so on?
