Who's should I use... My Aweber Account or The Clients?

Need some guidance... I am going to be building sales funnels for clients and was wondering if I should build each clients email list in my personal aweber account or would it be better for the client to buy an aweber account and I just manage it?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

    Apart from questioning your choice of provider you may want to consider what will happen in the long term.

    I would suggest a separate account for each client and you can either set up and account for them and then bill them for a complete service or you can have them pay the mail provider and you bill them for just your services.

    One advantage of the second option is if they stop using your services yet continue on with the mail provider and you've set it up as an affiliate you will continue to generate commission on an ongoing basis as long as they keep using the provider.

    You may want to look at something like Active Campaign to manage the email because of some of the features you may find useful.

    I think it would better for you and your clinet if your client had their own aweber account.


    For You - You can make some extra cash if they join aweber through your affiliate link. It will also give you more credibilty if your clients can login to their aweber account and see how many subscribers they have, the follow up emails in the autoresponder, etc..


    For your clients - As stated before...your clients can login to their aweber account and see how many subscribers they have, the follow up emails in the autoresponder, etc... Also..If they decide not to continue with your service, they will not lose all of their leads.

    Put yourself in your client's shoes. Many business owners say their email subscriber list is their most valuable business asset.


    So do you want this asset in your name? Or are you going to let a service provider own the account? The choice is a no-brainer IMO.


    Plus it's easy to set up the account in the client's name and still give you access to work in or on his/her account.

    It's fairly common for service providers to manage all their clients' lists from a single account.

    You set up separate campaigns for each client. If you are building their sales funnels you will be the one setting up their forms and follow-ups. You can charge them a reduced rate from Aweber's monthly and still make more than affiliate commisions. You can also offer additional services like a periodic newsletter and have varying prices per service package.

    Email with follow-ups $14.95 - $5 off Aweber.

    Above plus monthly newsletter $24.95.

    Above but weekly newsletter $34.95.

    If your site building software is connected by API the ease of setting up different clients is great.

    With Aweber you will need to set up sliding scales based on subscriber number.

    I'm sure it's done regardless, but I'd ask Aweber if what you propose is allowed there.

    I don't think it is. It could put both your own and your clients' lists at risk.

    One word ... LIABILITY.... What happens if your email autoresponder account gets shut down? How many clients could possibly sue you because their email lists got shut down because of something that happened on another list?
