Use other vendors' products as OTOs?

Hi,

Can I use other vendors' products for upsell/downsell when launching my own product?
As I'm new to this, how would it be like? should I purchase their product and ask for reselling license? can I use their sales page "as is" as an OTO? will I be considered as their affiliate this way?

I don't have anything to offer as OTOs, so I thought to ask this.

    It would be tough to use someone else's product as an OTO as is. Since they can just go to the page and buy it.


    You could offer it as a companion product to the product they just purchased. Upsell it on the thank you for purchasing page.

    If you can find an appropriate PLR product you can use that. One of my best-selling OTOs ever was a PLR product.

      Did you rebrand it?

      I have access to many PLRs from a PLR selling site. just thinking so many would have heard of it. so might not be a good idea to choose it as an OTO?

        I suggest you look for something new and high-quality. Most PLR sites get their products from the same creators as you have access to. Years ago, the WSO forum was the hot spot, now it's JVZ.

        Most people will tell you to edit PLR to make it "unique." If you use high-quality, then editing would only lessen the value. You often have to do a lot of searching for something that meets the high-quality standard.

        I suggest video series or some kind of "kit." The OTO I mentioned included an ebook, spreadsheets, cheat sheets and a mind map.
