Need Advice on how to mpromote new startup

Hello all,

I have just started a new company that helps companies acquire data in all its forms (internally and externally) to develop real time sophisticated metrics and predictive behavior of cleints to see how the company is really doing and can perform in the future. The way we do it allows for companies to know such things as what sources of clients cost the most in customer service requests, or when is the best time to contact a specific potential client or channel rep. I have created the website, and now want to promote it more. I was looking for the non standard ideas anybody might have in terms of promoting it, outside of google Adwords and SEO. I have those already in mind. Thanks in advance.

Social media is one of the best promotion platforms especially groups of potential clients.
Recruit affiliates and \ or start working with other websites, find potential partners and contact them.
*Linkedin is a great platform to promote your business and find partners.

Is there a demand for this service?

I would think small businesses would know this information and larger companies would have in-house specialists.

Do you have the proof that people are LOOKING for this information, or are you assuming that business owners would want this information? You can't just create a niche around a market and assume that they will buy - no matter how high the traffic flow. Are there forums and websites around this product idea where these business owners exist and talk about these matters all the time?

Social media is the way to go. Research on the social media platforms your target audience always use.

I would suggest you social media is one of the best promotion platform. Here, you always share a good content on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn or any other social media platform. Be active on your social media pages, update your posts, engage your audience in a conversation. You can share special offers and put ads on your social media accounts. All of these can be very useful for your startup.

Everyone is saying social media is the answer.

    I don't think so.

You have a business. Your clients are other businesses. That's B2B and in my experience, when the target is small businesses, social media is not the best venue for promotion.

Market research should show you where the demand for your service is strong, where those companies can be found, and how to best reach them. Obviously, no one can take the time (unless you hire a professional) to do that research for you. It will be money well-spent if you invest in researching your marketplace . . . otherwise you are just guessing and that's not how profitable companies operate!

    The best to you,

    Steve

First you should define your target audience, then use some good tools ( there are many ) to increase awareness.
