You might have to outsource the speaking/delivery of your vocals. You can find people all over the internet who can do this for you, but there are options if your English isn't strong. Maybe there's someone who can do this for you on Fiverr. If not, then do a Google search for someone who can.

Practice! Practice! Practice!
And you can add that English subtitle to let people know what you're saying in the video.
Also provide the downloadable script version, or any kind of pdf version of your video.
Tell them the link to download it and you can build your list this way as well.
People just need to know that you deliver something worth of their time.

Yes, you can learn and practice and get better at spoken English . . . but that is going to take some major effort and time! It won't happen over night.

Why wait? Find a "voice over expert", provide the video and script of what you want said, then have a professional do it for you. There's no reason on earth it has to be your voice. Site and product owners regularly hire out their visual presentations so that the video is clear, straight forward, and easily understood.

Spend years learning to do this yourself . . . or get a talented "voice over" and start making money from your videos very soon.

I really could hire somebody to do the work, but you see, I want to show trading graphics, charts, price movements, so its not just talking but also showing the screen and moves in the same time, so not sure how hired person could do it, he needs to understand trading too.

Also, doesnt it hurt to credibility or to branding if not ME is talking and showing the charts and explaining things to people?

I understand your feelings on this... but I really don't think that the hired person needs to understand trading as long as you also supply him/her with the graphics/charts along with the German language script.

Not really, but if me telling you this doesn't allay your fears - you have boxed yourself into your current process and the only thing left is to try to streamline that process and reduce the lag time involved.

If you insist on having the English language videos in your voice, the only thing I see that might reduce your involvement is to send the translator a link to your German language video as his/her starting point and let the translator produce a translated script from that.

You could then create a new video by editing the audio channel on the original and then posting the translated version as a new video to your YouTube channel.

If you are interested in someone to do voice overs, I may have a good solution for you.

My brother ( a native English speaker) recently retired from Universitat Bremen, and now does German-English translations of technical papers, theses, etc. for publication in various educational publications.

I don't know if he would even be interested, but I have reached out to him to see if he would be interested in doing voice overs.

If you would prefer your own voice, he would also be well qualified to create a script for you, from either an existing German language video, or from a German language script.

Really N, the best way to get through this fear is to improve your skills through persistent practice. Record video after video offline. Keep speaking as you look into the camera. Then upload videos to YouTube to get over the fear of publishing videos for the public. I'd suggest watching videos in English on YouTube as well. Become familiar with the language by hearing it frequently.

I would suggest you to check other youtubers and practice English.
Till the time you perfect your English, create videos in your native language with good content and gather genuine followers.
These followers would encourage your English videos once you start uploading them.

So my question is, how is your English when you are speaking in general? Is it something that's specific just to this project (being nervous, less-common vocabulary, etc) or do you feel like you would struggle regardless of the context? I teach people communication skills, pronunciation included, and I know that there's a lot involved. I know you want to have it in your own voice so that means a voice over is out.

Off the top of my head I'm wondering if it would be easier if a native speaker made you a recording so you could listen to it and learn what it's supposed to sound like rather than just reading from a page. English isn't a phonetic language (written symbols =/= sounds) so reading can be tough.

Critical question. Some people are fluent in written language but have a strong accent that makes it hard to understand them on a video. Is that you - or not?

In my opinion, too many 'writers' and 'video makers' assume if you can GET THROUGH the text in English, that's good enough. It might be fine if your audience only wants information from YOU - if the info is available nowhere else...if you are a leader in your field...etc

Otherwise - you may find hiring someone to do the voice work is the best way to go. If you are not getting results you want, it might be worth testing. It would be your ideas and your scripted words - but in an accent suited to your target market.

Agreed. Being able to be understood is just one hurdle. You also have to consider the sociolinguistic factors and that people are generally attracted to those who "sound like" them. Very generally speaking, language and manner of speaking can elicit feelings of trust and comraderie.

If you're struggling and your accent is really getting in the way, you're not only unable to connect with your audience on this very basic level, but you're also not able to let your own self shine through because you're too busy struggling through getting the words out.

And forget about the other stuff like body language which plays a huge role in trust and likeability.

There is no magic bullet for this so you need to really truly evaluate your skills and what you're willing to bend on.

thank you guys for so many good advices. Actually, for me best would be to just outsource, but how can somebody talk about what only I understand and only I can show on the screen. For example, I have youtube channel talking in my native language and all videos are pricing charts/candles, I show price actions, I show where I am buying , why I am buying, showing other chart/prcie movements, statistics and so on. Basically, everything about how I am trading cryptos.

So I am not sure how could I outsource talking. Would be great if I had someobdy who talking very well and ALSO understand and know everything what I know and want to share with others in videos.

What about English subtitles or overdubbing in English? That way you could still record in your language, convey your knowledge and enthusiasm through your on-screen persona and body language, but still access an English audience?

Adding subtitles can do a lot in helping English speakers understand your videos. Or you could outsource the voice over work to a more fluent speaker.

In the meantime, keep learning and practicing. There was a freelancer from the Philippines I once hired for some VA work. Filipinos have a very distinct accent, so I was surprised during a Skype call that she had somewhat Midwestern accent. She didn't have any formal training--apparently, watching a lot of English shows and films and mimicking the way actors talk can help a lot.

Keep making informative videos without worrying about ascent and grammatically incorrect English. According to me, language is a means to communicate, that's all. People are watching your video for informative content so don't give too much importance to language. It will be a nice idea to start your video with something like "I would appreciate if you ignore my poor English as English is my second language"....

If you are terrible in videos, you have 2 options.

Either improve on it by doing videos continuously until you are good at them despite of criticism out to discourage you.

OR try other alternatives.

Writing and publishing content on:

1. Blogs

2. PDF reports, e-books and e-magazines.

I think the great skill can be experienced while watching movies and videos from native speakers. If you need it to make as simple as possible then you should learn synonyms to phrases you use.

Just do the simple things...
1. Make your 1st video on your own language.
2. Make the 2nd video with English subtitle.
3. If necessary... make the 3rd video with English dubbing (hire voice talent from your local... so you can work side by side with him/her).
4. Then you need to convince your customers about the condition that you're not native English, but you have something very valuable that you're a professional on that matter... and that you provide the English subtitle and English dubbing video version for them.
5. Make money...

Note:
1st, 2nd and 3rd videos are just the same video. So you don't have to re-work the content except to add the English version. Good luck!

Many thanks for your comments and your advices.
But what you think, if I find a person who could do videos for me, I mean I could make native language video and he just translate everything to English and make English version of video, BUT this wont hurt to my credibility, to my brand? Because my website, my social media is with my face, but videos would be different person. Maybe its a good idea to just tell that videos will create not me, but my business partner.

Hey There,

What I would do is continue what you are doing, and you'll get better as the time goes on.

Or, go and start doing podcasts/audio versions on what you want to speak on.

You can still upload it to YouTube, and you still get the benefit of people the Like, Know, and Trust factor because they can hear your voice.

It'd also be easier for that to be done by someone else because then the people wouldn't know if it was another person speaking unless they were with you since you started releasing videos.

Hi, you may need to practice in front of friends or family before getting in front of the camera. Additionally, you may want to have a white board with your thoughts written, right behind the camera, so you can reference, but ensure its strategically placed so you can still maintain eye contact with the camera. Of course, practice first too.

You know what? i have faced THE SAME PROBLEM.

I've recently started a youtube channel about email marketing in english.
I'm not native english speaker, i don't live in a english speaking country.

What you have to do?

IMMERSION. The best way to learn and speak a foreign language is to get immersed in it.

I mean:

listen to english podcast in your specific topic.
read english article.
watch A LOT of youtube videos regarding crypto made by youtubers who appear in front of the camera.
Watch live facebook videos in english about your topic.

Then record these videos, they will not appear so fluent, maybe you will think that they're pretty horrible, but with PRACTICE you'll get better and better.

Remember that you're not selling a language course, so the state of art of your english does not matter a lot.
