How to promote products wisely?

Hey warriors!

I set a store front with a variety of products,
ready to start campaigns and lead traffic,
there are many options there, to start with facebook paid ads, etc
but, I am hesitated between 2 options,
first option is to pick a product, and promote it is individually,
second option: is to promote the entire store, where all products are listed,
my main goal is to generate few sales, so that I can fund more campaigns,

I am note sure which option is the better and more effective to start with,
Kindly advise based on experience,
thanks

Have a decent store with good professional design and content. Focus on promoting a product only since you cannot compete with Amazon (or similar companies) on brand-awareness campaigns. Even Amazon promotes products and not the brand itself.

    Mixmedia,

You're getting ahead of yourself. The first step should always be to understand what is already selling well. You want to be promoting products that people are actively purchasing. You want to be sensitive to the "demand" of the marketplace. When you understand the demand, then selling is easy - you don't have to convince buyers because you're already selling into what they are demanding.

Do your market research first. Look for problems, needs, desires, and reasons why people are buying popular products. Then, and only then, you can find the solutions (products) to offer them. It's the law of supply and demand . . . and the demand always comes first. Understand what it is.

In answer to your question . . . promote individual products to targeted prospects. But always link those products back to your store. So in essence, you're actually promoting both the product and the store (but the product is what will appeal to your prospects first because it is specifically targeted to what they want.)

    The best to you,

    Steve

focus on product marketing and not the store wide approach, that way you can find out which products bring you the most sales

You should definitely go for a hot trending product that's in demand. It should be a product that your target audience can not live without... that's where product research comes in.

Once you find that product, facebook ads is a great platform to promote e-commerce products. However, it takes a well thought out marketing strategy to be successful with FB ads.

    Best of luck!

Why don't you try both and split test it to see what works better?

i could suggest you Facebook ads, but know that this will work only if you make good targetting, andn set a good campaign. You should also try to focus more on one product, so that you could have all your attention dedicated to this, and it will surely be more better this way to make the campaign work.

Identify key products in your store which have a demand and for which have some kind of USP. And target buyers of those products. Otherwise you will not be able to compete with big players selling the same product. Promoting the entire store is not going to reap any benefits in the beginning.

    1. Social media is one of the best way to promote new products.
    2. Facebook ads is a great platform to promote product
    3. One of the best ways to promote a new product or service is to let your customers speak for you by sharing reviews.

Some people succeed with the storefront idea, and some succeed with selling products individually. I personally think it's best to market each product 1-by-1... according to marketplace demand.

But further beyond that, always sell to the people who have an interest in something, and meet them where they are. Once you know where a group of people are who want what you're selling, provide them with the product or service that they're looking for.

Or lead them directly to the item on your site that would most likely fulfill what they're looking for. The storefront idea can get expensive vs direct response style marketing of marketing 1 product individually to each targeted group of people.

If you dont believe anything that i say.... then test both ideas and see which one makes/costs you the most money.
