How would you make money in this Niche with 30k followers?

Hello Warrior Forum,

Over the years my Facebook page grew to 30K+ real followers, and I own the matching domain name.

I'm trying to think of the smartest way to make money in the "Love Poems" niche. I have experience with internet marketing, affiliate marketing, Wordpress, SEO, etc.. but I'm trying to think outside the box with this one.

Facebook Page: Facebook.com/LovePoemsForHer/
Website Domain: LovePoemsForHer.com (not live, just a domain)

The obvious way to monetize this would be to create a poem website where people can share their work and read others. Id assume ads, affiliate products, put your poem on a mug, etc

I would much appreciate the help. I'm sure there are far better ideas out there.

What do you suggest?

Thank you,
Chris

The most basic thing i can think of is creating a simple ebook full of love poems, and then sell them on your website. Have you thought of this?

You might also give away the love poem ebook to build a list. I would guess that just promoting love poems is probably not going to rake in much profit. The personalization idea is a good one, but I'd expand it to include gifts or flowers or anything else that deals with romance and relationships - ads for dating sites, say, or weekend getaways.

Personalcreations.com is one site you can work with as an affiliate. There are many others.

    Chris,

This is exactly why I am such an advocate of doing your online market research and analysis before you jump into any attempt to monetize a website or a business.

You need to understand what the demand is like within the niche and you need to get answers from the people you'll be targeting as customers. Online research means you're focusing your efforts on your audience and what they are asking for (what they will buy). Once completed, you should know if there is a marketplace (buying and selling) within this niche, what you might offer the prospects that they will purchase, who the competitors are, and other key issues about this economic sector.

When you ask random forum strangers (95% of which have never made a dime online) how they would make money in your niche, it's like asking a 10 year old how to find marital bliss. Anything they tell you is only a guess. Why not dig into your audience and ask them what they want? It's not hard to do and can be done in a few hours.

    The very best to you,

    Steve

Great Website. : ) I would consider collecting their eMails and then promoting something that's relevant to them.

    HTH.

You are thinking poems.. but you need to expand on that thought a bit.

You currently have a FB page specifically targettting poems for HER.. leads one to think that People that need poems for HER would be a sites primary target.

WHY does a guy need poems for HER? Anniversaries, Birthdays, Mothers day, Valentines Day maybe?

So A website with targeted event specific poems along with proper gift suggestions seems to me would be a good fit. Proper Gifts you ask? Like with marriage anniversaries there is a list of gift themes based on the years ( google: " wedding anniversary gifts by year " for a better idea ) Birth Stones... really the list is kinda endless. There are tons of sites to give you ideas with this.

AND you already have the captive audience - When just a poem is not enough check out LovePoemsForHer.com for great gift ideas. Valentines is coming soon, check out or list of 40 great Valetines gifts over at LovePoemsForHer.com.

Consider finding high quality papers to print cards and the like with the poems that could be framed.

Same here. Years ago I was making (something like) $3,000/month with my Websites. OK maybe not a fortune ... However good money for the time I spent creating the Websites.

If there is any "lesson" in that it's to help People in a Niche/Market that interests you.

Maybe you can sell mugs and other collectibles with short poems on them.

And yes, the poster above is right about etsy being a potentially good way to monetise your niche.
