Do you think this would work? (I NEED YOUR HONEST OPINION)

Hello Warriors, Im planning to create a service which will be almost for free, it would be very helpful for people! They dont need to pay, just system will ask them to donate and support community.

Do you think people would "TIP/Donate" this service if it would be very helpful for them and save them money?

Thank you for your opinion.

Nope - I don't think many people would.

If your product is 'worth' something - charge for it. If it's free, give it away...then sell them something else as a followup.

I'd face your fears/resistance concerning receiving money head on.

It is only money. It is just money.

So....if you want to get paid for offering a product of service, just charge for it. If not, offer it as a freebie. But you are not charity, so no donations.

Separate your service! Free service to collect people data and paid service for them who are interested and can value your service. You can offer a discount or bonus to anyone in free category to bring them to your paid category. You have to make different service quality between free and paid version. You can also make another version, such free service for first-time customer to try yours out, and then offer them any discount or bonus or extra to switch them into your paid service. Good luck!

Can you give away a short trial of your service? A little bit of your service? A way for people to experience your service but leave them wanting for more?

If, as you say, the service is helpful, valuable, and truly saves money and the prospect sees first-hand how great it is, they will not hesitate to buy it.

Don't be hesitant to ask for a sale when you are truly giving something great in return.

    The best to you,

If you truly want to help them, make them pay for it.

First, have you researched to see if this service is already out there?
Second, what is the service worth to you, what would you pay for it.
Now you have a better idea if it is worth doing; if it is already out there, look to see if you can do it better and if it draws enough traffic to make it worth your time.

  • Luciesmazanska,
If you have a great service in mind that solves a big problem for people, you will get paid for it(eventually).
What you may want to try initially is to offer something of great value for say $20-$30. This may include an extensive report of what you are offering and/or a video series that provides good information, and great value for your customers(subscribers).
The idea is that your subscribers will get to know you and trust you over time.
The next stage you probably offer them more detailed information for a higher fee say $200-$400 and ongoing access to your service for a monthly fee.
    Hope this helps, good luck

I don't think that's a good plan. Freebie seekers will not donate and the people who would donate would pay for the service if you charged for it.

Why not just offer a free trial? This will allow people to see if the service is worth their money while protecting you from the freebie seekers.
