Website pages are not indexed in Google

Hi all,

There was an indexing issue with my one website. I have added few new pages 2-3 weeks ago, but none of the page is getting indexed in Google. There is no no-index code such as in back-end. I also requested Google Webmaster to crawl my website 2 times but still nothing happened.

Here is my website, there are total 12 pages and only 2 are showing in Google.

Here the Google search link for your reference >>>

Kindly have a look and give your valuable feedback ...

Thanks & Regards,

Make sure you're registered with Google Search Console so you can check to see if your pages are indexed. But in general you won't get ranked with a new site in a lot of niches these days. I wrote some decent TEFL content but never even got it indexed. So I switched to an easier niche where I'm gonna kill it.

      Hi Brettb,

I am not looking for ranking for all those pages. I just want to index in Google SERP.

    Check:
    1. Robots.txt
    2. Noindex Robot Tag
    3. Do Google fetch in Search Console.

      Hi divyanshisharma,

There is no such issue in any of the above checks.

    There could be many reasons.
How long has the website been live?
Many of the pages are thin in content so Google may feel currently they are not worthy of indexing. This is fixed by more references to them. Ie blog posts.
Your robots.txt is disallowing /nri (twice). If that folder which is an entire clone of your website I recommend deleting it if it is not used.

/nri is completely a new section. There is no connection between other pages. I am using /nri for paid media promotion. Hence I have blocked it in organic search.

You haven't blocked it, you have requested Googlebot ignore it (twice) so probably a double negative. Also the only way to truly block a crawler is to use htaccess not robots.txt.

The site is thin content (i mean seriously thin). Google will not index pages until they deem them as valuable to their own users.

As I mentioned before, they need to be referenced more times. Gone are the days that you can just tell google a page is there and expect it to be indexed.

the most important question though is how long has the site been live with the current site structure. It can take a long time for Google to index all pages as a new site will not have the crawl budget.

Nowadays Google is taking some time to index the pages. So you have to wait for a couple of weeks or can a few things mentioned below:-

Optimize you sitemap and ensure it contains all the require pages and then resubmit into the GWT
Go through your robots.txt file and cross check if any of your essential pages are blocked
You can do some link building task for those pages which is not index
you can submit your page URL into "Google Reconsideration" in GWT..

After a couple of weeks still, you are finding the same issue then you need to check backlinks of your website to ensure your website doesn't contain low quality, spammy link...

No, there are no backlinks created for the mentioned pages. The website is 2-3 months old.

Yes, I did the same 2 times, in last week as well as in this week too. Still the pages are not indexed.

I took a quick look at your sitemap.xml file.

The 2 pages that are indexed have a "priority 1.0" specified in the sitemap file.

ALL of the other pages show a "priority 0.8"in the sitemap file.

I'm just guessing, but I suspect that alone is telling Google that you deem those pages to be less important. Given that they do not crawl as often (or as deep) as they used to, it doesn't surprise me that Google has deemed those pages to be less important. After all, YOU gave them a lower priority.

I would try modifying all pages to be "priority 1.0" in the sitemap.xml file (edit that file manually if necessary) and re-submit the xml file via Google Webmaster tools.

When I use the Google search URL that YOU supplied in the OP, I only see the 2 pages I mentioned in my previous response.

At the bottom of that search results page, it says...
In order to show you the most relevant results, we have omitted some entries very similar to the 2 already displayed.
If you like, you can repeat the search with the omitted results included.
If you click on THAT link, the only other search result that is shown is for the sitemap.xml file.

When I look at that page (now several days later), I see that you STILL have not done what I suggested. The sitemap file still shows the same pages with NO changes in the priority for those pages.

Sorry, but I don't know how to help if you can't be bothered to at least try.

Google is now taking longer to index sites nowadays since there last update. You may just have to wait a few days to see what happen.

Ok thanks, I will wait for few days and analyze how the website is indexing in Google.

My blog has more than 500 pages. Last November onwards, at a constant rate all the pages have been deindexed in google and blocked. Now I have 34 pages and all blocked.
I am a completely ethical blogger, and have not purposely done anything wrong.
The robot.txt file is fine and google search console says, there is no crawl error or any issue with the site. It also has sitemaps.
    The issues that might be:
The blog is mapped to blogger and earlier had http which is now https. I have canonicalized versions to https://www version.
I once had been given an offer by someone that he would get me quality backlinks through Fiverr. I am not sure whether that is the culprit. But I had stopped taking that service after a week. I think that if at all that would have harmed, it would be in other ways and would not show 'blocked by robots' error on search console.
