Ever hear of Blogger?. "Create a unique and beautiful blog. It's easy and free."

Added tip: Because it's a Google product it tends to do better in search results.

Blogger is an alternative but it should be noted that it some things are restricted in terms of content. Also, you can't host any custom coded pages like php or html.

What was you're issue with Wordpress? It's the most simplest and best to use in my opinion.

Maybe there was a problem we can help you with? The plug ins and themes are just perfect for nearly any feature you want.

WordPress is as easy as it gets, IMO.

I think there are more tutorials on WP than any other platform, not to mention unlimited themes, plug-ins, and cloning software if you need multiple sites.

You might also consider going through one of the WP trainings at Lynda.com where you can try their products for the first month free. They have thousands of courses.

Just learn WordPress - it's not difficult once you know the basics.

If you're looking for an SEO friendly, Social Media friendly publishing experience with fast load times and more secure than Wordpress, I recommend Ghost Pro. It has a lot of things "on" by default that you'd need to install plugins for using Wordpress.

It's just a blog though, it's not a full CMS like Wordpress. It's better at blogging and online publishing IMO since that's all it does and focuses on.

I'm also currently using Hexo Static Site Generator for one of my blogs but it's definitely not more user friendly than Wordpress, so if you're not getting the hang of Wordpress you probably won't like Hexo.

Hmmm....if you want to become a blogger Gary....no

If you want to run a cyber diary, then Blogger or Square Space or any platform works. Just understand nobody will read it and monetizing to a professional level is virtually impossible on any platform other than dot org.

My advice; as a 10 year pro blogger, get the hang of it buddy. You'll come around. Only way to go. Monetizing, branding, support, credibly/trust, the benefits go on for hours, compared to all other platforms which come up short.

With all the support and plug-ins (etc.) I would definitely go with WordPress. Sometimes you have to spend the time learning something in order to be successful. As others have said, it's not all that difficult once you get going.

Just load a basic WP theme nothing fancy ever. Ever look at their free themes like easy blog - https://wordpress.org/themes/easyblog/ or another like Twenty Seventeen ?

Read the tutorials or find someone who can build you a basic WP Site. Use the .org not the .com If not hire someone to set it up for you and walk you thru it. Very basic compared to other CMS's like Joomla or Drupal. Here is drupals info page. https://www.drupal.org/docs/8/modules/blog/overview notice it is not update recently.
