Affiliate marketing - I'm having a few problems

Hello everyone,

I've started affiliate marketing about 2 months ago in the Forex trading niche.

I'm now facing a few problems and I would like to get your opinion.

1) I realized there are no "forex" or "forex trading" keywords showing up on the google keyword tool, but only related keywords.

2) Forex trading is a complicated topic to learn and I think it will take too long to study this subject. However, this means I can't post any comments on different social media platforms.

3) The only way I am getting very few leads is through Facebook ads. (I already have a blog, a Youtube channel and an Instagram account without getting particular results.)

Questions:

1) How can I increase my traffic?
2) Do you think I picked a too complicated niche?

Thanks in advance for your time.

Content marketing works for me, in addition to FB ads.

It sounds like you've got the main bases covered when it comes to content marketing, but it's probably gonna take some time for the content to compound and snowball.

...Hold up a second.. I just re-read your post...

think it will take too long to study this subject. However, this means I can't post any comments on different social media platforms.
How are you getting content for your Youtube channel and blog, and how do you know it's accurate info?

I'm outsourcing articles and then creating Youtube videos out of the content.
Well, the content it's simple enough to understand, so I'm guessing it's pretty accurate

You might want to release free or near free books (99 cents) on the Amazon Kindle.

    How do you drive traffic?

Sneak peek clicks on a top link on the first page of your book

    You win TWICE:

    You get free traffic
If the person seeing, likes your book, they buy so you get a sale

You can also use your book to UPLINK to your main Forex site

If you are already an expert in your niche, then maybe you need to focus on marketing. If you are into this niche just for two months, then, It will be too soon to expect the results you expect.

This is the chief problem Oso; you picked a niche based on popularity and profits, not your passion and know-how.

Trash it immediately buddy. Stop wasting time. What do you love doing? Start there. Dive in with knowledge and a love of the topic so you can share your insights and hit the ground running.

The post above and the one below are separated by several pieces of advice from experienced members. You start with "I think" and end with "I'm guessing".

the content it's simple enough to understand, so I'm guessing it's pretty accurate
You are in the group of those who post about investments of various types without having any real advice/experience to share. Selling in such a niche is not as easy as posting about it.

I'd advise starting over and choosing a niche you are willing to learn about and participate in.

its the same competitive nche like any other
it doesnt have nothing to do with competition

in niches like a forex you have two "problems"
    which you have to resolve

1st: you need to find out how you will gain trust in your potentional clients or people who will finally make a deposit and you will earn CPA so how they will take an action?

    2nd is traffic
everything helps, just look around on this forum there are hundreds of ways how to do it for free,
me as a coowner of company which is generating traffic is also not so easy to follow up, but we learned the system and just stick to it

    good luck

Agree that all niches are competitive. You need to gain trust and provide value (I am really big on value). The challenge is that you yourself have no experience in Forex so supporting your product with your own successes is difficult. Perhaps you can connect with a group that has forex expertise (perhaps on LinkedIn or Twitter) and build a relationship. Often those folks are not very good at marketing and would appreciate additional exposure. Of course, since forex is part of the finacail markets, you will need to understand what you can actually state in the ad. My experience has been that most folks are willing to assist someone if there is some value to them in the future. Perhaps you can provide a link to their business.

Honestly I would just stop and change niches.
This is a highly competitive niche with a high barrier of entry. Unless you're willing to spend a fair bit in testing I would look for a less saturated niche.

    Get social.
It's not enough to produce great content and hope that people find it - you have to be proactive. One of the best ways to increase traffic to your website is to use social media channels to promote your content. Twitter is ideal for short, snappy (and tempting) links, whereas Google+ promotion can help your site show up in personalized search results and seems especially effective in B2B niches. If you're a B2C product company, you might find great traction with image-heavy social sites like Pinterest and Instagram.
