There's a bit of an issue with agency/freelancer transparency - How do you go about collaborating with your clients, freelancers, or agencies across marketing channels?

A bar of iron cost $5. Made into horseshoes, it's worth $12. Made into needles, it's worth $3500. Made into balance springs for watches, it's worth $300,000. Your value is determined by what you are able to make of yourself

At the agency I work at we use Basecamp, Zoom Video Conferencing and Facebook's Workchat.

If I hire freelancers from overseas, like from the Philippines or such, we usually get in touch through email and skype. When I go local, I occasionally use the phone and text them.

I tend to avoid using messengers like Facebook's. I don't know why, but using them for work-related talks makes me feel like I'm invading the freelancer's personal space.

Email and Skype is what most employers do as it is what you can call a "formal" means of communicating with a worker you can hire. Some of them use other social media apps. It really depends on the employer.
