please help me with my keywords (newbie)

hello to all.

i am about to venture into im and i am trying to do each step a in depth as possible to make sure i dont screw up.

i have researched some keywords and wrote down all the spyfu/google keywords data about them, could yoi have a look and tell me weather theses keywords are any good, or do i need to dig deeper?



any help would be great

    Difficult to say without knowing the keywords...or the broad market.

    ...and fergawdssake don't tell us what they are!

    The raw numbers look good to me, though...

    14k+ searches with 47k exact-match competition? Definitely worth a punt.

    First of all you didn't specified for what purpose are you going to use those keywords: seo or ppc.

    If it's for seo, here are a few golden rules that never failed me:

    1. Look for keywords with at least 700 searches per month;

    2. Look for keywords that have at most 30.000 (this number can be higher if your good at it) competing pages optimized for the same keywords.

    2. Look at the first 5 result that show up on Google (they receive most of the traffic) when you do a search for your targeted keyword. If the first 5 sites have each more than 500 backlinks, than skip it and go after a new keyword.

    Competition to searches ratio = poor keywords, high competition. Even if these are "buying" keywords the PPC may eat your budget.
    Cost/click --- acceptable, should be even lower for 2nd and 3rd ad position (preferable) but I've seen this data being very unreliable even coming from google, and did pay way more than was indicated.
    The bottom looks worse than the top but is cheaper.
    If you decide to go ahead avoid broad match - will loose money.
    If you have money making keywords then go ahead, if these are general keywords I would think twice.
    But...you'll never know until you test: do exact and phrase match only, 1 keyword per adgroup, splitteast at least 2 ads per adgroup, 3 digit daily budget to make google happy, you're not going to use it anyway.

    Keep in mind I may be wrong, I've got no idea what the kwds are!

    Hi I rank websites all the time, done near 100 this year.
    I have to say I don't put much stock in keyword checkers and density checkers.
    I think the best way is by learning and studying Googles top 10.

    If your keyword has commercial intent I would go for it . I like the numbers .

    As stated above . Don't give out your keywords .

    You could instantly gain a few thousand competitors and if they are coming from the WF you can bet some of them will know enough to take your spot in Google .
