I you want to sell your products on Instagram, you can try some useful tips that are given below:

1. Feel empowered to sell on Instagram- We're always told to "show our human side" on social media channels.

2. Make a sale overt in your photo. People are on Instagram to look at photos. If you wait until the caption to let your followers know about your promotion.

3. Install an Instagram sales app. Some smart apps have synced with Instagram to make selling easier for brands of all sizes.

4. Use social proof whenever possible. Instagram is an amazing source of (often unprompted) user generated content.

That's better to build a specific customer avatar before doing anything. Then you can know what you should send over messages, cold callings.

It always amazes me when people claiming to be marketers can't get business. If you can't, maybe you shouldn't be selling services as a marketer. Physician, heal thyself. You aren't a marketers unless you're effective.

As to this idea you have, go try it. None of us can tell you if it will be successful or not, but you of all people need to try this stuff if you're going to sell it. You need to perfect your video marketing and then, once you know what you're doing, will you be a marketer. Otherwise it's like me picking up a saw and calling myself a carpenter or reading nolo.com and calling myself a lawyer.

Dwayne: Can you answer these questions based on your latest research?

• Exactly who is your target audience and where can they be found?
• What marketing services are they looking for and willing to purchase?
• What makes your services stand out from all the other marketing agencies in NY?
• What are you offering to new prospects that is seen as valuable in their eyes? (Incentive to try your services)
• What social proof do you share with new prospects? (Case studies, endorsements, testimonials from happy clients)
• Why should a new prospect trust your agency to help them make more money? How are you going to increase their revenue?

You're not getting clients because what you're marketing is not compelling enough and you're not offering anything that screams "hire us - we're your best choice!"


Individuals who hang out on social media aren't there because they're looking to buy marketing services. You need to be catering to the needs of small business owners.


Selling marketing services is a very competitive marketplace. It requires that you have both the knowledge and skill to understand and apply business promotion to a wide range of niches and industries.


So I have to ask: what training, experience, and qualifications in the marketing industry do you have that will allow you to help other businesses market their products and services? This is a tough industry where your performance on behalf of your clients is paramount. If your approach with this new agency is "fake it 'til you make it" I'm afraid your business future is short-lived.

We've been struggling with this and tried cold calls, emails, Instagram DM and more. However, it's not working.

That struggle/panic/fear is what I saw in my email inbox today. A few cold pitches which I blocked immediately I do however work with folks who help me sans asking for anything, to build a relationship first. Then pitches seem more attractive. This is how to move up in circles, so you land more clients.

Building a client base, or heck, building any income stream, often takes months to years of consistent, generous giving, through free content, like videos, blog posts, podcasts. Most people panic after freely serving folks for weeks or months when no clients appear to be lining up. But they are. Always are.

You allow in aka land the clients buddy by feeling this fear of not getting clients, by NOT panicking, and by proceeding to help people, and to build bonds.

Don't knock it. Obviously what you're doing now isn't working, so why not try something new?

My first impulse was to laugh at you, I can't imagine a NYC Marketing company asking at the Warrior Forum (of all places) about marketing.

I thought that was hilarious, but since it is Friday. I took a look. Watched some videos, and visited your social media. Here's an honest, albeit, less than laudatory summation.

You guys are "CREATIVES", and not salesman. Marketers know how to sell as part of their marketing services.

Your best target might be boutique ad agencies who outsource video and creative productions, although, the competition in NYC is fierce, not telling you anything new, am I?

Also, on your Youtube videos, the sound track is too loud, annoyingly so with a repetitive beat, and really, no strong sales message, you showcase your video ability, and that really is your wheelhouse.

So play to that strength. Rather than fast cuts of NYC businesses and people, throw some copy in there, something like:

If you own a coffee shop, restaurant, dry cleaners, bodega, (as you show shots of all), the one thing you need is CUSTOMERS, and that is where we can help you. The show your Youtube channel, and other social media.

You aren't presenting yourself as INCREASED SALES CONSULTANTS, which is what they all want, honestly, creatives like you in NYC a dime a dozen.

You need to add SALES to your marketing campaigns, and if you lack that talent, then barter or swap out with someone who can help you to sell yourself, cause right now, any agency coming to Warrior for marketing advice, maybe deserves to be mocked, eh?

PS. All your Instrgram posts start WE CAN...BLAH BLAH BLAH. Read the Copywriting forum from yesterday I made about frelancer copywriters at Upwork, I think it applies to you guys. Try a few posts which start with you, and your business, take the focus off of you, and put it on your prospect.

@ OP...All I really see is that you're talking about what "you, you, you" have done but nothing about what value you bring to the people who are your target market.
Forget about yourself and whoever you're working with. Focus solely on the customers who will always be asking the old "WIIFM." Now if I have to tell you what that means, you're in even deeper shite than I thought.
