Personalized "Email Confirm Subscription Page" script?

Maybe I dreamed the whole thing up but...

I seem to remember (from about a year ago) a script that would personalize the Thank You page seen after someone subscribed to your email list.

From memory it used the data from the capture form to personalize the name and then offer them a direct link to their email provider.

So kinda like:

Thanks for subscribing to our Newsletter *Dan*

All you have to do now is confirm your subsciption

It looks like your email provider is *Gmail* Click here to check your email now.

I want to say that it was made by Oliver Bowden, but the only script of his I can find is Redirection Rocket.

If anyone can remember the name of the script I'd be really grateful.

Thanks, Dan

You don't really need any script for that. Aweber (and all its clones) provide a few lines of code that you add to your thankyou page, and the name + email can be used in the text of your page.

If you use them, just search their Knowledge BAse.

      Hey Pension Guy

      Thanks for the Tip.

Passing variables is what you're talking about, and I'm somewhat familiar with it.

I'm not so interested in the name (only b/c I know how to do it). What I liked about the script was that it parsed the email address, figured out the provider, then offered a direct link to the email providers page.

      Appreciate the help though man!

        Oh, I missed that, sorry.

However, what if I, as a subscriber, am using an email address based on my own domain? Where the link would point in that case? Just curious...
