You can buy straight from them, the price will not vary a lot. And how to get it going there are plenty of tutorials out there in youtube.

I'd recommend to go with the cheapsslsecurity.com - a Namecheap site, they are super fast and it's easy to set it up, I've just upgraded 3 sites. I have a very bad experience with GoDaddy, so I wouldn't recommend them. If you need any assistance I can help you out.

hi Imran, Yes you'll need an SSL certificate. It will change your http:// to https:// and you will get a green secure lock next to your domain.

I have recently got one through my host WP-Engine.

You'll have to liaise with your Hosting company(eg Hostgator, WP-Engine... and your Registrar (eg: Namecheap).

Here's the link to the instructions at Namecheap to get this set up

It'll cost you about $20 per domain

Then I'd outsource it to a coder (one with plenty of good feedback) at somewhere like Fiverr, and be done with it. I did; I'm an IM'er not a coder!

They'll need access to your Webhost but they're used to handling privacy etc.

If you are looking to shield your website with an SSL, I am here to help you to pick the right solution. It does not matter if you have small websites hackers target all the website with the different purpose. There are too many options to choose when it comes to SSL Certificate.

If you are looking for the cheap price SSL Certificate then I would suggest going with SSL Reseller. The reason behind this reseller purchase the certificate in bulk quantity from Certificate Authorities, as a result, you may get a discount, as well as they, offer a cheap price.

If you want to secure your website then you should install an SSL certificate on your website. Yes, Godaddy provides SSL certificates as well. There are many SSL resellers who offer SSL certificates. I would like to suggest you to compare different types of SSL certificates then choose the best one according to price, security level and green bar.

Yes, Godaddy is also providing SSL certificate if you want to buy from them. But if you are looking for some other option then find out the list of SSL certificate providers I hope it will work for you.

You may want to check with your hosting company first before buying. One of my sites is hosted by Instapage Builder and all I had to do was 'point' my servers in Godaddy control panel to their secure servers.

It didn't cost me a penny.

Most hosting companies have free self generated SSL certs now. Do you have a CPanel? If so, login to it and look under security for "SSL/TLS Status". If your hosting company generates them for you, you should see a green lock next to your domain and "AutoSSL Domain Validated" on the other side. If this is there, then you can just change your default addresses to use https instead of http and most times it will work. Sometimes, depending on the site, it does not and in these cases you can either hire someone or try one of the free plugins, if you are using wordpress, to set things up properly.

    Cheers, Hope this helps some.

Yes, you heard right. An SSL certificate is the best solution to avoid 'not-secure' warning in the browser. There are many SSL providers available apart from godaddy. If you have low budget than Comodo will be the right choice to add an SSL certificate.

GoDaddy SSL price is way too high compared to others. If you are on Shared hosting platform then I would recommend you to buy SSL from Namecheap and install it on your website using cpanel.

The easy way outsource it to a coder. try fiver give some one else the problem to fix it. Do not spend hours working and in the end the problem you still have . Or even worse. I would outsource it to a coder on fiver first.
