Are Webinars Effective In Any Industry? (Or just internet marketing)

Hey all,

I own a business called RacquetFlex in the tennis instruction industry. I know webinars are touted as one of the most effective marketing tools in the internet marketing space. But I was wondering whether an hour-long session is appropriate when marketing to athletes.

Also, my audience is used to highly visual video content (here's one of my vids: https://youtu.be/k_iLAQnOsRY) so I'm wondering whether slide decks would be able to keep their attention.

So my question is:
Are webinars effective in industries besides internet marketing?
If so, what type of content would be best to include (use my normal format or use slide decks or just a face-to-face convo)?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

    It depends on the host/guests and how much the audience are interested in the discussed topic. Expert hosts/guests sharing good knowledge in an interesting and organized way can keep a lot of users watching and coming back in the future for more, especially if you offer relative incentives and giveaways during the webinar.

    The second question depends on many factors, you have to discuss this with the others. It's nice to have some pictures/slides/videos ready to show every now and then to keep things interesting for some people that can't keep their eyes open through long talks.

    Keep your eyes on the view count, if you see it decrease rapidly after 30 minutes, start wrapping up. 45 minutes is still reasonable if you have good topics to discuss.

    I have seen that webinars are effective in industries other than internet marketing, such as IOT (Internet of things ) trainings. It depends on what the topic is, to use slide decks or face-to-face.
