Are You Being Cheated Or Completely Delusional?

Someone once posted a 1 star review on my eBook.

The reviewer said the eBook was "just about me running with dogs on a beach and not much else."

I wrote 83 pages of practical tips, for both mindset and blogging. I clearly laid out what I did and how I did it to retire to a life of travel through blogging.

One individual who Tweeted the eBook with a kind endorsement has been a consultant for Google, Microsoft, Tony Robbins and Richard Branson. Gazillionaires and gazillion dollar, iconic brands ask him for business advice.

The eBook is not necessarily good; it is clear though. Solid, accurate, practical blogging advice.

The person who said it was just me talking about running dogs on the beach was filled enough with fear and pain that they became 100% blind to practical tips, to fundamental blogging advice and to success, happiness and freedom. Delusional.

I share this because some Warriors complain about being cheated by WSO's, labeling marketers as used car or snake oil sales people. Sometimes, products are substandard. But in many cases the products are dazzling, in-depth, valuable courses that pained, fear-filled individuals are 100% blind to.

If someone is genuine, happy and generous with their knowledge, you better pay attention when they release a product or service.

How to Separate Low Quality from High Quality Products

Observe product creators.

Are these internet marketers genuine, experienced and generous? If so, you have a winner, because such marketers will honestly (genuine) share of their vast experience (experienced) in generous fashion (valuable, helpful, in-depth courses/products) when they release an offering.

Something to keep in mind guys.

Ryan

I think most folks can tell when someone is genuine... however many people are seeking the quick win and that's when they become delusional - we all know that it takes 3 years to become an overnight success! They ignore the work required to implement the vast experience that they are being offered.

      I did not know that.

    1. Native language.
    2. Buyer expectation.
    3. Seller promises.

Those 3 are commonly behind both: cheated or delusional.

People can't follow rules, you expect to see consistent reviews even when there are no rules or standards for reviewing? Let it go, it's not personal, every person has a different mode that may affect their judgement, or they may even be frustrated and delusional.

If you aim for the majority of the reviews to be positive, or at least neutral, then you wouldn't care about the minority individuals that give you a bad review.

    Nice post: Thanks Ryan

    P.S.
No matter how great and amazing your products (etc.) are, there will always be "detractors." (Try to learn something from them ... Or just completely ignore them ― it's all part of the process IMO.)

    Great post Ryan.

I see so many failed marketers complaining that ever product that they buy is a scam.

The truth is that these people rarely even try the strategies that they claim don't work. They simply don't want to do what the product owner instruct them to do in their course.

Just because you don't want to follow the product creators system...does not mean it does not work.

It just means you don't want to try it.

If you aim to make it good, you perhaps won't require affirmation that the one star review was unjustified.

The entire premise of owning a product is to not only confirm that it's 'good', but to figuratively scream with genuine belief that it's the best.

With commitment, achievement and knowledge that your product is good, that one star rating will be but a drop in the ocean amidst the other ratings that confirm it is good.

Some of the most valuable information in the world is marred by inability to deliver effectively. So too does this apply to the method of selling the product.

In the interest of circumventing suggestion that anyone is 'delusional'; your product starts with your approval.

If you genuinely set out to help people in a giving way, you can expect to be kicked in the teeth from time to time, it is just part of the package deal.

I have seen negative reviews posted on this forum by people who obviously have an axe to grind. The axe? They are competitors or see themselves as competitors to the publisher.

If their product is better than the one they are bashing, why not devote time to positively promoting it rather than negatively trying to down the opposition?

I too have received only one negative review. It was in relation to my labeling book, and the purchaser wrote that he found nothing new in it, and had already found 95% of the information via Google.

I don't know why he made such a ridiculous claim - maybe so that I would refund? I did anyway, and I would have if he had made a simple request.

As for the proof that he was almost certainly unable to find that "95%" of the information on Google - If he had, why did he bother buying the book? My website showed exactly what he would be getting.
