How to optimiz a landing page...

To optimize your landing page, you should do just as if you were trying to rank for a article. first go to https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal and type in your main keyword then pick a couple other keywords that it shows that are relevant to your primary keyword.

These other keywords will be your LSI(latent semantic indexing) keywords you want to use these also in your page so google knows what your site is about. So your H1 tag will have your main keyword in it and then a few more times throughout your page along with your other relevant LSI keywords too.

then along with your privacy, contact and terms or whatever you have, you want to have anchor text links to articles that you have pointing to this landing page, so not only do you want the content on your landing page optimized you want links pointing back to your landing page all relevant to it.

SO if I had the keyword "dog walking" as my main keyword and had "walking the dog" and "dogs walking" as my LSI words I would then have anchor text links linking to different articles optimized for each keyword. this method will not only have you getting free search engine traffic, but you will also have a great quality score with google when doing PPC.
