Bestbuy Affiliate plugin - suggestions needed

Hey Warriors,

I have created a Bestbuy product import plugin which helps you to build an affiliate site based on Bestbuy only with the following options -

1. Import products with complete descriptions, pictures from specific categories
2. Automatically post on wordpress as posts
3. Schedule automatic fetch using cronjobs
4. Automatically tag the products using preset keywords
5. SEO URL's include the amount of discounts offered on those products
6. Option to add anything suffix to any URL of the product to include your affiliate IDs.
7. User Reviews will be fetched with the product.

Please help with suggestions if anything is missing from this plugin.

    A premium affiliate WordPress theme. Your own free theme compatible with your plug-in and developed by your company is great as a special bonus. Optionally, but not required, theme upgrade offer supported in a members area or private forum for premium members would be best in my opinion. A lot of BestBuy sellers that do not develop themes recommend a Generate Press or Theme Forest theme designed for bestbuy that you can sell with your own affiliate link.


    BestBuy commissions are 0% on almost all main categories and only 1% on other categories, so a lot of marketers do not push it, but those that do focus on products that Amazon does not sell. Amazon is BestBuys main competitor BTW. Food for thought, if the plug-in could pull products from BestBuy that Amazon does not sell it would be a positive if not unique feature of the plug-in?


    Promotion wise.. BestBuy does inform affiliates of sales and weekly offers via a weekly newsletter, affiliaes reference and promote the offers to stay on top of the affiliate game, so if the plug-in automated that process in some way the plug-in would provide Promotion Leverage for affiliates and that would make your plug-in more desirable in my opinion.

      Thanks for these comments, which is why we have configured the plugin to pull products from BestBuy Deals only which are always updated and usually great offers to buy.

      People look for discounts on products which is the target of this plugin. Getting the plugin to differentiate will be kind of complex at this stage. The plugin does automate all deals and the products listed, we got that covered.

      I do understand not many people go for BestBuy which is why its very niche plugin, what do you suggest as a suitable price bracket for this plugin.

        Keeping in mind the target market are affiliates and the plug-in does not have a theme and any upsales in a sales funnel it would be sold as a stand-alone plugin for a low profit source (BestBuy), so you may need to test different prices for the stand-alone plugin. Given that the target market are affiliates and the affiliates will need to promote with paid traffic, lists etc. (spend money to make money) the price for the plug-in would need to be low to generate even a minimal interest, so I would price it $10 to $15 above your overhead to deliver the plug-in.


        Shame that the plug-in is designed for a sole source that pays out low commissions, but Amazon's commissions are low as well.


        In the future it may be beneficial to consider a plug-in's target market which pretty much will determine the price before it goes to market.
