PLR license terms

Hey great Warriors.
I have a question for you guys.

Ok, I have a PLR video training that I would like to give it for people to Optin to my site, it is set in unlisted on Youtube and I'm planning to drip feed it to the clients through a Sequence.

But I read the License terms, it says there that I can't give it away, but I can use it to build a List, I find it difficult to understand what is the difference between both.

Can you guys please hop in and explain what could be the bad or good thing here?

    I guess the license terms say the fact that you can't give it away ( as give it away as a bonus to your product or as a bonus to incentivize people buying an affiliate product recommended by you ) but you can use it to build a list ( offering the training in exchange for an email address ).

    Basically I think it wants to make clear the fact that you can only use this in a list building context.

      At first, I thought that myself, but it says that it can be given away as a bonus, but it can't be given away for free.
      I'm thinking that it actually means that you can give the training to someone but not the entire product so that they can resell it or offer it for free again.
      But I have contacted the vendor and we shall see.
      I will update here.
      And if I have a green light, I will run the campaign and share the results and the way I did it with you guys.

    First of all, Private Label Rights aka PLR does NOT (never) mean "resale rights" (unless specified of course), it only has to do with the NAME (the label) you put on a product/message. Private Label allows you to put any name you want on a product and publish as your own NAME as the author.

    For example, one can buy PLR content (aka ghost written content) to use as content on one's own website and of course one CANNOT resell that content, but one still's "giving it away", in a sense, by publishing it as content in one's website.

    Some PLR also come with resale rights aka RR, and master resale rights aka MRR licenses. Content with RR can be sold to clients as a product, and content with MRR can be sold to clients while passing a RR license to them. Simplified, but that is much of it.

    Does the "PLR video training" comes with RR and/or MRR? Is it content with PLR for your own use only, on your website?

    On top of that, there may be several variables depending on what's specified in the terms of the license provided by the vendor.

    I hope that helps clarify things a little more.

      [YES] Can convey and sell Personal Use Rights
      [YES] Can convey and sell Resale Rights

      [NO] Can modify/change the main product
      [NO] Can modify/change the graphics and ecover
      [NO] Can be given away for free
      [NO] Can be added to free membership websites
      [NO] Can convey and sell Master Resale Rights
      [NO] Can convey and sell Private Label Rights

      This is the full description.
      By my understanding, I can't resell the whole product with the Sales Pages etc. but it doesn't prevent me from sharing the training with people in exchange for an email is that correct?
      I have contacted the vendor but still, haven't received a response.

    So it's not PLR as you suggested in your original post. You can not modify or change the product at all.

    "[YES] Can convey and sell Resale Rights" - This would suggest you are purchasing MRR (master resell rights).

    "[YES] Can be offered as a bonus" - If I were in your shoes, I would create or find another very closely related product to offer as the main product and then give your MRR product as a bonus to the main product.

    But that's just me. You have a lot of flexibility in how you can set this up.

    Its not complicated....


    The license terms don want you throw the products out free of charge. That meant you must get something in returns. so you using to generate leads is ok as fer as you getting them on your list.


    You can also contact your vendor for clarification on the license.

      Yup, I do agree with Steve as well, it does state that it can be used to build a list, but isn't list building a free giveaway, that is what worries me.
      But I believe I'm covered legally speaking.

    PLR is having full rights and you can do whatever you want, there are many rights versions out there.

    Just wanted to post some of the updates from my campaign.
    I was allowed to do set the product as I described that I wanted to set it up.
    I ran a solo ad to it, 100 subs, I got 30+ subs, but the worse thing that happened, in my opinion, is that the subscribers are non-responsive, you have no idea how much I hate it, and I super tested the Email Autoresponder, and the SMTP the deliverability was awesome and the emails were landing up in Inbox, but, no opens on the emails from the sequence and no opens from the broadcast emails.
    All in all, I got bad traffic and basically was tricked(not sure if you can say a bad word here)
    There it is, I'm planning to get another solo ad in a week or two from now, but we shall see.

    Does someone have example of what the resell certificate looks like? I just bought a website that sells and SEO guide and the seller said he bought the ebook from this site. He sent me a PLR certificate but seems generic. Thanks.
