How to Market NutriSystem?

Hi everyone,

I am trying to figure out the best method to marketing a NutriSystem offer.

Currently I've reached out to demand side platforms but they are getting a bit expensive with no conversions.

Please can someone help or give any suggestions to steer me in the right direction.

Much Appreciated,
Stan

You need to target right websites for traffic. First know who is going to buy nutrisystem.
    - wealthy indivisuals who want to lose weight
    -short on time for cooking
-busy professionals but want to lose thst extra weight

Test direct linking vs squeeze to find out if you get any optin
If u get optin but don't buy.
    Do retargeting on facebook...

Know this not everone is going to buy.
    Why?
Because not everybody is on same degree of pain.
If there are 100 people 2 might have high degree of pain and rest don't. The rest have pain but not high degree. They are thinking, if you keep on reminding them with retargeting , at some point they are going to say, " This weight loss issue is going on for too long , i might as well fix it today."

Never heard of Nutrisystem, is it a MLM or something? What is a demand side platform, is this just a place to sell stuff? With no conversions, can we assume there wasn't a demand?

Maybe a supply side platform for you to try.

Ask who uses this product, where would they be online, then run your promtions there.

But first, maybe, tell people what it is, and what the system is about.

Nutrisystem is more than a diet plan, our TURBO13 program is designed to help you lose weight fast and improve your health.
AKA Magic Weight Loss Plan # 963,256,124. Wait 11.3 seconds and there will be another.

Don't why anyone would try to promote that particular diet - it's all over the TV ads all the time every day....with all sorts of $$$-off, etc....how would you compete with that? You wouldn't.

Ah, but there might be an advantage. It's advertised so much that even * I * have heard of it...from a long time ago. I may have even had a family member use it two decades ago. That gives it credibility via name recognition (company was founded in '72.)

If you were to position yourself as the local source of this weight loss system, that would work on people who are not familiar with IM, MLM, how TV offers work, etc. And, despite what our IM brains tell us, there are a lot of those people.

As a currently overweight person who is losing weight, I feel I can say this with a straight face:

      1. Go where there are fat people

      2. Put this offer to lose weight in front of them.

Just offering it as a method of losing weight is enough to get some sales. People are lazy. They are not going to "do research" and find out what the TV price is. If they happen to see an ad for it, that'll just add credibility to the offer. Baader-Meinhof strikes again.

Despite being lazy, people are constantly trying to overcomplicate things. It's that search for The One Right Way (doesn't exist, but that doesn't stop us from begging experts for it--and them selling it to us) or magic bullet to get the job done.

Get your offer in front of fat people. Some will want to lose weight, and lose it now. If you have a lead capture and follow-up technology--commonly an autoresponder but people were doing this just as effectively with direct mail 20+ years ago--you'll get the chance to filter for those who are fat and want to lose weight...but might not be ready to buy right now.

Consistency and persistence are far more valuable in this business than magic one-shots.

The only 'offer' you can use is LinkShare as that is the one approved affiliate option for this diet.

Since the diet is a program of direct to buyer food shipments, and the ads are pervasive on TV .... I guess I don't see potential for good profit. You don't have to look up the TV ad - it's in your face several times a day and the big 'hook' is 'call this number now and get a free week (or whatever the current sale is)...

To me, a 'how to market' question starts with my thinking 'is this a practical product to market at all....".

It's important to know that most of the people that have tried this diet complain that the food would gag a maggot.

You need a steady supply of ill-informed suckers for this one. Very strong competition from the South Beach Diet, which, most importantly, just sounds sexier.

    It's America, folks.

A proven marketing model for selling such highly visible products is to write articles and include your call to action link at the end of the article and within the text where permitted. These types of articles may be submitted to virtually any online/offline publication which target health-conscious audiences. The NutriSystem affiliate program is available through Linkshare and Amazon.
