Your best traffic source/method for getting customers for product?

Hey guys,

I am planning to create a product which would be a group access where I am posting and sharing some stuff. The group is like a membership site. My goal is to gather 100 customers/group members.

So would be great to know how you would promote it and get 100 customers?
What traffic sources or method you would use to advertise the group?

Yes, there are a lot of traffic sources like fb,adwords, email marketing ,blog posts and so on, BUT... but i want to know and learn your methods for getting customers asap and as cheap as possible.

Thanks in advance

  • Blogging and facebook are my favourite ways to get traffic

Blogging takes a while to build traffic but if you consistantly post most days you will eventually start getting good targeted traffic

To get good targeted traffic on facebook you need to be interacting with people. This is because fb has programed their algorithm to use Signals That Heavily Favor Active Interactions such as comments and likes, so when you post on your facebook timeline, it doesnt matter whether you have 5 or 5000 friends, if no one has liked or commented on that post very few people will see it.

My favorite "free" sources of traffic are Quora and Reddit.

On Quora, you can answer questions around your product or niche and direct the readers to your website.

On Reddit, there are countless possibilities. From imaginative posts to informative posts, to commenting, PMing, chatting, and making your own subreddits

quora is a good source, because its higher quality and you can more sales with less traffic.

      So you are right.

most people think its about quanity of traffic, but its really about quality and i notice on quora its high quality traffic there.

I have even had a $1000 sale from quora, in which i spent $0 on ads, just by posting content.

    I'd say

    1. PAID ADS

    2. Influencers

That's all but makes sense to optimize store just to make sure you are visible on google during searches.

Influencers are just that.. people with influence. be it people with popular websites, or twitter or Insta or whatever.. getting them to post about whatever it is you do. The easiest way in is to flat out pay for the exposure.

So say there is a person with 65K following on Instagram. you would pay them for a shout out " hey check this or that out " and if there is a parrallel between what you are offering and what the instagram account is related to the theory is you will get traffic to your what ever it is.

The key here is creating content - be it a landing page or article or whatever targetting specifically whoever is the follower of the instagram page. Not hard to do.. just goto the instagram page and see WHO is commenting etc and see what thier feeds are about... dont look at 1 or 2, look at 50 or 100, and then you have a broader notion of the context and how you can relate your message to those people.

Reach out to bloggers in your niche and ask them to promote your discount code

Track by using a specific subfolder for each partner

    Quick, cheap, easy, and effective

Hire Virtual Assistants to help you.

You can try Fiverr for all around VAs. If you want pre-trained VAs who would work on quota try VA agencies like Cognoplus or Virtualstaff. You can even hire individually via Upwork

What's important is you focus on closing partnership deals instead of hassling with the grunt work

With a small budget you can get a good amount of list subscribers fast and hopefully customers with Solo Ads.

You may look for Solo Ads Vendors on FB groups with Testimonials, on Udimi e.t.c.
There are a lot of YT videos on how to buy a solo ad. I'm always testing with 100 or 200 clicks and looking for testimonials with sales.

Is this a low priced ticket?

Personally i like free Facebook traffic. It's super quick and super targeted, since i basically control who sees what.

I haven't been doing blogging or youtubing...but it seems like the way to go in the future. I've only just started doing internet marketing and "being online" (traffic generation and content creation) for the past 6 months.

Going to be trying instagram influencers for list building. Should be pretty fun

Hi Pablo, when you say free Facebook traffic, ... how are you getting that traffic? Are you just regularly posting to your page? If so, how often? Also, are you referring to a fan page or other facebook page?

Thanks in advance for any help,
      Regards

I do cold emailing. Find the niches you need or blogs with related topics. I make and update the list of my potential customers or partners with Snovio email finder or technology checker.
Or another way you can try crowd marketing. Mention your ready product on forums for free

    SMM and Email Marketing.
It's necessary to provide good content for Instagram or Facebook, I guess I don't need to explain to you how important it is.
Cold and warm emails can also boost your business. It's well known that the ROI of email marketing is 1$ to 44-50$. I use Snovio to send cold and warm emails and triggered messages.

Isn't $50 pretty high number or it's really achievable with email marketing?

I recommend Quora (create useful replies and don't post links only) and Facebook + Instagram bloggers who can write about your product (if you have budget). Also you can create channel on Youtube, upload videos and optimize meta data in Settings. Video content works perfect.

Hey the marketing techniques vary depending on the product and you need to use the media in accordance to that. Facebook, Pinterest and and other Social networks are good for brand promotion and creating a community. But if you are seriously looking for product selling then Google ads and Affiliates are the best options.

    As you are just starting.

So you can advertise your group with two ways.

one is free and in the free method there are lots of methods.

but the best one I think is YouTube.

because when you are just starting out there is no other platform that is going to help you to get initial boost then YouTube and it will help you to drive literally thousands of views for 100% for free.

and if you do have some money to invest then you should be running the paid ads.

    and for FB ads.

as per me you should have at least $1,500 to start.

because first of all I will recommend you is get a good course that will be costing you $500.

and then when you will be starting Facebook ads you need to test a lot of things so you may lose $100, $500 or may be $1000 but after that you will be able to figure out what is working for you and you will be able to scale up the ads .

An old mentor of mine would tell me that you should be able to make one dollar per email you send out to your list. I know some people now get annoyed with emails but I think it can be a very effective way to get traffic. There are some services now to help you to automate the process.

Depends how fast you want results.

If you are cool with waiting a while, then free traffic sources are fine to start
Quora, SEO, Guest Posts, Social Media Posts, Etc.

If you are trying to launch a product as fast as possible then paid traffic and influencers in that specific products niche would be the best way to go.

Have you ever tried all of these traffic sources before? Is there anything that indicates these traffic sources wouldn't be useful to you? Personally for instant traffic i use paid advertising. I test whether or not the niche is responsive, and if it is, i set a monthly ad budget, raise it steadily over the months until i hit a maximum... and just for the rest of the month do free marketing.

But it all depends on your sales process.

Well We are in the Software industry and most of my leads are coming from the Reddit and software listing sites. We are using Facebook and Linkedin for brand promotion. As social media have a huge presence and gives you a wider reach to look at the international audience. So you can choose the platform according to the product you have.

It depends on your niche and where your prospects are "hanging out" - whether it'd be on forums, Facebook, etc...

The real question is since you're giving away free access how you'd monetize the group - from there you can figure out your metrics and judge whether it'd be justified to invest funds in acquiring members.

Facebook ads, Quora and Utube are the best platforms to promote your brand or business. These are the best and cost-effective way for user engagement.

In the quora, you can answer the questions regarding user queries and placed your link. But make sure that your answer is relevant to the user queries.

By posting the free or paid ads related to your product you can get more traffic. If you want more traffic then you should go through the PPC ads. For large traffic, be active on social sites.

Youtube is also a big platform to promote business. By making the user-friendly videos related to your product, you can easily get the traffic and the engagement of users.
