Hi guys,

I have a question,

If a domain name has already been registered, whitetuna.com
can I register tunawhite.com?
Are they similar domain names?

Thank you in advance.

I've never been slapped for doing it in the past, would probably do it again, have also used hyphenated, i.e. for yours: white-tuna

What would be the point? When looking for a domain name, either you choose something you can brand for your business, or you base it on relevant keywords that are already being searched for.

Also, if the name is obviously a variation of an existing trademark you can expect to receive a C&D order sooner or later.

I agree with Frank. As a new business, why start out with a massive potential problem. Consider all the time and money you put into your site, as well as on social media sites. Choose something that does reflect what you do BUT is DIFFERENT to the already established domain name.

Agree with Frank as well. Build YOUR brand or base it on valuable keywords. If you are attempting to leverage someone else's brand by making a slight (almost unnoticeable change) you will receive a cease and desist.
